We stopped in for a quick snack and decided to grab some empanadas. They make them with plantains which is something I’ve never tried before but was not disappointed! The dipping sauces and tomato salsa was an excellent addition. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Phillipsburg.

My Quinnoa salad consisted of fresh mozzarella cheese and beautiful fresh greens. The Quinnoa was cooked to perfection. The ratio of balsamic vinegar and olive oil further enhanced the flavors of the dish.Plantain chips were fried to perfection, This is my second visit, and I will without a doubt continue to savor my favorite dishes. My husband ordered a pork dish, which consisted of hominy, corn kernels, and other tasty ingredients. I can't say enough about this Ecuadorian restaurant it truly is a gem of a place. .

Dined here for the first time Wednesday evening and really enjoyed the food and outdoor balcony! We tried the ahi tuna appetizer, a beef empanada and the mixed seafood ceveche. I like all of it but the seafood ceveche was my favorite, I really liked the freshness and fried banana it was served with. It was clean and the server was very nice. I like the location and will be back!

The food was DELICIOUS, unique, & very affordable!

Our server was so friendly & helpful + beautiful outdoor seating in the sunshine by the river made the BYOB even more refreshing!

Quinoa salad & HUGE empanadas with homemade plantain pastry can't be beat!

This place is truly a traveler's gem for tasty, fresh fare that goes beyond your typical local menu & I can see totally see Rapaen Cuisine quickly becoming one of the most popular spots in the Lehigh Valley for quality & varied eats that won't break the bank!

All the best in the days ahead, Rapaen Cuisine, and THANK YOU for a great experience - see you again soon!

My friend ordered a steak that came from the kitchen covered with salt. She could not eat it. We told the chef but they did not offer a discount or remove it from our bill. Is too bad we used to like to eat there

We tried this on a whim after driving by during lunchtime, and were SO impressed! The food was delicious, the empanadas were good with the spicy sauce (3/10 spicy, not burning your mouth at all). We also split the Bandera Ecuatoriana, which was DELISH!! The shrimp ceviche was very flavorful, the beef stew was tender and tasty, and the beef tripe was… adventurous but good! The plantains were to DIE FOR!! The presentation of the food was also excellent. 10/10 recommend!!

Excellent, authentic Ecuadoran food. Empanada was delicious, as was the shrimp. Selection of fresh juices, including mango and soursop (guanabana). The server made sure I was aware of the specials, and special customizations that could be ordered. Will be back every time I go through New Jersey.
