Hosted a large diner event here and cannot say enough positive things about the experience. All guests commented on how delicious everything was, and that’s saying a lot as there were many picky folks in the party! Our servers, Molly & Jasmine were phenomenal. They were personable, professional and attentive to all guests. The timing of everything from apps to salad to entrees to dessert was executed perfectly. We are so glad to have a new local place and look forward to coming back

I enjoy it here. Nice spot. Food is always solid, but the place is always empty! Not quite sure what the issue is. But I have never seen a place with more turnover! I have met 3 different managers is just about as many months and the most recent one "Mark" is clueless. He seems totally lost and does not really seem to do much. And every time I go there seems to be a new bartender behind the stick. Bit of a mixed bag, but most are very good. Most recently, I was there on a random weekday I had Ricky who was super friendly and a great conversationalist.

ordered eggplant rollatini for lunch in Phillipsburg it was a pile of mozzarella cheese no eggplant to be found inedible

this is a warning to future employees. I worked at the stone tavern during their "soft opening" . I entered the building was given a shirt and was told to go to the bar. I was working with some one who had arrived one hour earlier. I was given zero training on a system, that I told the owners I had never used before. We were also never trained on the food so I was unable to answer customer concerns. I made several mistakes while trying to train myself on the system. Eventually the owner came over and berated me in front of customers for not knowing how to use the system. Anytime I asked a question I was given a quick answer. At the end of the night I asked the owner how to close and was given a quick answer as she rushed out the door. Myself and the other bartender were then left with a manager who did not know the system. Were told to leave our tips in the drawer and leave which is not common practice. The next day I received a message that due to my lack of pos knowledge I would not be needed. I let them know that given even 5 minutes of training I could do better. Do not leave a job for promises of great tips and a family environment. You will get neither. P.s. I have never left a bad review about a job before however I do feel that the hiring and firing processes are unfair.

We were here on 2/27/25. Fran was our bartender and she was so sweet! The food was phenomenal. My husband got a sirloin and I got the Tavern Hot Honey Pizza. We shared the nachos as an appetizer. Everything was great from the service to the atmosphere. We will absolutely be back!

I'm always looking for new local places to eat. I look at the menu, Google photos, and read reviews. I ate here once, and it was average. There is nothing outstanding and nothing bad to say about food. However, I do like to support local if you're an establishment that treats patrons and employees with respect and honesty. It has come to my attention more than TWICE that the management has been EXTREMELY unprofessional. Not only with patrons but mostly with their staff. Management seems to not be able to keep their personal relationships under control and sets the tone for high school drama, then let's go of staff members who are amidst their unprofessional behaviors. Management should do better and keep their lovers quarrels to themselves. There are innocent employees who lose their source of income due to this unprofessional setting.
Food isn’t fresh which is incredibly annoying for what they charge. Stale bread on my sister’s sandwich and fries tasted like old oil that needs to be changed. My ribs were dry and tough, had to send back. On top of that I could hear what i assume is the owners fighting with each other the whole time. My server apologized which felt sincere but the fact that my kids and I had to sit and hear them cussing each other out from the kitchen was just cringey and unacceptable. I can see from the replies on these reviews that they seem to be very defensive which is unfortunate to see restaurant owners lack accountability. My family won’t be back mainly because of the food but the atmosphere is just as poor.

I have been going to this restaurant for a while now, and I had a server who was named Casey. Her service was amazing and I never had an issue with her. Besides for her service, I would say everything else was sub par. I’ve been back a couple times now and haven’t seen her around. I’m not sure if they got rid of her, but if they did, it was a mistake. I will no longer be going back there due to the other issues with the owners and other staff.

Nice aesthetic, good customer service and ok food. Prices weren’t too bad. It’s giving elevated bar food. The Yucca balls appetizer was good with marinara sauce instead of what it came with. Had a burger that did not have a pinch of seasoning otherwise it could’ve been tasty. My significant other had ribs and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were a complete fail. We packed up our food to go home and fix it lol. I don’t think I’ll be back.
