UPDATE
I stopped by Crave in Pitman today because I was walking around and looking for something to snack on.
I remember I visited here before and I bought two cookies they were pretty good I had given the place about a six out of 10.
During my last visit, my biggest gripe was the fact that they didn't use enough butter and enough seasoning in the cookies. They seem to have somewhat fixed that problem.
I purchased two cookies. $10 for two cookies is quite a bit for me. But that's beside the point. We're here to find out about the cookies.
The two cookies I ordered were a ginger snap cookie, and an oatmeal raisin cookie. I'll start with the ginger snap cookie.
This cookie was very good! None of the butter issues, enough ginger to give it a little bite. And enough allspice to give it that taste that people love in gingerbread cookies. The cookies are very soft and crumbly (almost to the point of a slightly cooked center) so you're going to need a napkin to eat them. They're are not a hand cookie. They're also quite large, which made the $4.50 price for the cookie easier to deal with. Definitely a two snack cookie or a shareable cookie. I could have used the bit more ginger and allspice to give it that Christmasy taste, but it's not a bad cookie. I would give it an 8 and 1/2 out of 10.
The oatmeal raisin cookie was a little dry for my tastes. It was tasty! The cookies overall were better than my last visit. The oatmeal raisin cookie had a decent buttery taste, and it had enough raisins in it. It could have been more buttery. I like almost a greasy oatmeal raisin cookie. They used steel cut oats for the oatmeal base. I'm kind of partial to the oatmeal flakes. They went easy on the coconut which was a good thing. I enjoyed this cookie, though. Not the greatest oatmeal raisin cookie I've ever had but decent enough. This isn't a cookie I would go out of my way for though.
This cookie was decent I would give it an eight or an 8 and 1/2 out of 10.
The people there are very friendly, and the fact that you can buy coffee there to go with your cookies is an added bonus. Since I already had coffee with me. I didn't get a chance to review the coffee they sell there, but it's probably Engrain like most of the businesses in Pitman sell.
The only thing I have to question, it's $4.50 a fair price to pay for a cookie? I admit the last time I was there was probably 2-3 years ago and the cookies were $2.75 cent a piece. That's a fairly large increase. Almost double the price. I know in light of all the situations going on with the country right now, prices are extremely high and the materials needed to make cookies have probably gone up exponentially.
Also, why no fudge nut brownies?? They had peanut butter brownies, they had pumpkin brownies, they had cookies and cream brownies, but no fudge nut brownies. I'd even take a plain brownie.
In light of my second visit, I'm raising my review to an 8 out of 10. This place is a denouement to a visit to Broadway in Pitman. You know, after you've shopped in the stores, you grab a coffee and a cookie and you look at the stuff that you purchased in your car. I don't think it's a place I would go out of my way for. I have other cookie places that I go out of my way for. This is not one of them. But if I'm on Broadway in Pitman, I would probably visit this place if I had a coffee with me.
There's also a cupcake store right next door to it. The stores are connected so you can go from the cookie store to the cupcake store. I'll visit the cupcake store in another review everything looked pretty much the same as with the crave except it was cupcakes.
Great food, friendly atmosphere!
Lanky blonde boy behind the counter provided a unique and snappy customer experience. Also enjoyed the cookie. Superb
Pros: it seems clean and the staff is polite. They have a good location where they are to walk to. They cater to people's pets as well if you're a pet lover. The selection of desserts seem nice and they have gluten-free options with a cupcake place next door. Prices are average to high depending on what you're getting. My wife and son like their Brownie cookie. Looks good.
Cons: im not a fan of politics promoted via stricker on all the doors , but that seems to be the culture there. The inside is big enough for small groups, so not large party friendly. I had the peanut butter cookie, it was ok, too rich for me and I love peanut butter. Don't know what the tip option is for, they don't serve you at a table or anything other than ring you up and give you your dessert. The bell on the door was neat in an old school way at first , but becomes very annoying after awhile.
All and all I would actually come back , but not going out of my way to go there. Ive had Walmart bakery cookies that tasted just as good or better.
I'm Beef and that's where I was.
For our babyshower, Crave made 100 incredible non vegan and vegan cupcakes that were such a hit! They looked beautiful and tasted even more amazing. Everyone loved them and raved about how delicious they were (and they really were fantastic!) š¤ Thank you Crave!
Thank you for making my little sisterās day!
The gluten free cookies were the best sheās ever had. Watching her smile as she ate them made our day!
What a great bakery with options for all I have a hate- love relationship with sweets. I love to eat them, but I hate the fact that I gotta walk 10 miles every time I have a cookie that being said these cookies were amazing and itās worth the walk we had this gigantic vegan chocolate chip cookie that is so buttery and chocolate chippy tasting. I took a bite and sent my friend home with the other cookies because I wouldāve went to town on these we also got a vegan carrot cake slice and a vegan brownie both were gluten-free. I took a bite out of each of these and gave the rest to my partner to share with her mom because I would ate all this stuff right away just so delicious. This is a necessary evil for me. I guess you would say because I donāt eat sweets anymore like I used to, but when I walk 50 miles a week on average this is a treat well deserved
Great place to create and paint!
Weāve stopped into Crave a few times for sweet treats, and itās always a great experience. The cookies are large, homemade-style, and deliciousāattractive without being overly fancy or lacking in flavor.
Thereās indoor seating available for less-than-ideal weather, and a public outdoor space just down Broadway if youād prefer to enjoy your treat outside.
I wanted to like this place after seeing a tiktok. We went for the vegan options for myself and my son as we are lactose intolerant. So I can only comment on those items.
First the smell of the place was off. Usually you walk into a bakery and you smell sweet delicious aromas. This was not the case. My first red flag. I pushed past it and got my son a oreo brownie bar type thing and a chocolate chip cookie. With of which are gf and vegan. We threw them out. The texture is way off. The taste was for lack of better words, nasty. My son spit it out and I unintentionally made a face trying it. Both in the trash before we even got buckled in. It's a shame because we love small business and were super excited for some options without taking lactose intolerance pills. Never again.
I am giving it two stars because of the girl who helped us. She was super nice and even asked if we needed them packaged differently from my husband's cookie which isn't vegan. I loved the thoughtfulness. But the actual food wasn't it at all. My husband didn't like the snickerdoodle cookie too much either. It wasn't really soft at all and was dry and crumbly.

Save your money. The cookies are mediocre at best. They are hard and many taste the same. The woman who rang me up was not friendly at all. I wish them well but I would go elsewhere.

Cookie was so expensive for what it is and looks so sloppy to take out. I was planning to give it as a gift but Iād rather choose a different place and think I wasted money. And the owner looking lady had awful service with a grumpy face. Not recommended.
