the owner doesn’t deserve the business

My wife’s ribeye was fatty and stringy. It did not taste good. I asked the waitress to take it to the chef and ask him to taste it. She took it and we never heard back from her. I won’t go back

I do many reviews and really don't like giving a less than satisfactory rating, but unfortunately, Sweet Lula's just didn't hold its end of our visit. This was the first time our group ate there. There was just one server working, and there were about 6 or 7 tables seated prior to a show at the theatre It took nearly 15 minutes for the server to greet us. Then we asked for a wine opener to open our bottles. The. had to ask again and then a third time. We also asked for wine glasses. One came with lipstick and also was one glass short. Then we had to ask 3 times again for the wine glasses. The server then brought us another tables food. Now all this was due to the staffing issue and the pressure to get those eating completed prior to the show start. Once they meals came out. 2 were ok, the scampi was soaked in water and the salmon was so salted, it was inedible. They did bring us another fish dish that was then not salted at all. It's a shame. I really wanted to like Sweet Lula's. Big fan of the Pitman reataurants and the small town vibe. Unfortunately, not the case. Other friends who went had a similar result, but I want to give someone a fair shot. One and done for us.

The food is low quality. My ribeye steak was a low grade steak, very tough, unseasoned and very overcooked. Calamari was overly fishy, soggy breading and extremely salty. The bathroom soap was so watered down that I would question that it is effectively sanitizing the staff's hands if they use the same bathroom as the patrons. The ambiance is pretty much walls filled with photos of celebrities in crooked frames. This is far from fine dining.

This was our second visit. We were not impressed on the first visit but we were seeing a show and everywhere else was booked. I should have known just based on that. The soup of the day, crab bisque, was not edible. Is was very watery, no crab and had a bad taste. When the waitress saw that we we were not eating it, she asked if we liked it. We told her what we thought and she replied “that is probably because this was left over from yesterday “! I thought, how silly of me to expect the soup of the day to be made that day! We move on, I had the “ribeye steak” which is one of the staple dishes. I never seen a ribeye like that, it looked more like a NY Strip. Is was over done and tough. My wife had shrimp scampi, she didn't care for it .

I was not given what I ordered, just an apology from the server, which was the only person on the floor, I felt bad for her...food was horrible and ate maybe 1/3 of it..stale toast, etc. was not offered anything...paid and left to our show.

Absolutely terrible service, surprised they are still in business.

They wouldn't seat me till my husband parked the car, even though I had reservations. It was Valentine's Day so the menu was limited. After ordering, my husband didn't get his salad for 1 hour. Even after asking several times. Food came about 20 minutes after. Other people canceled orders and walked out. So sad because the food was good.

Sweet Lula's is always a perfect place for us to have dinner! Lula is always welcomes us like family! Rosie also is fantastic as our server and longtime friend! There's no other place we'd rather be!

Went here with my friend recently. Service was excellent. Food was good, but didn't blow us away. The portion of actual cheese and meats for the charcuterie board was gravely lacking. There were many flies buzzing around us as we ate which was a nuisance. We got the djoin chicken which was okay, the mashed potatoes were really good, veggies just okay. We got cheescake to go as well, but not sure if it was homemade or store-bought as it looked a bit stiff and not super fresh. My friend ate some I didn't partake. We'd probably give it another shot though. We were tended to well and it's a nice spot.
