The food was very good and there was a lot of it, the service was great and the price was right on
We recently had dinner at Sweet Lula's and the food was exceptional. The ambiance is very nice and our party was taken care of. I would recommend this restaurant highly. It was also nice that it was a BYOB and they also served "mock cocktails". It is our favorite restaurant in Pitman.
We have been coming to Sweet Lula's periodically for eight years. Dining access is in the front of the restaurant with lots of windows for street views. There are maybe fifteen tables to accommodate various guest size parties. The columns are decorated with hanging artificial vines, flowers and soft lights. Although the atmosphere is pleasant and unique, things have changed. We were a party of two. A party of six were getting ready to order when we arrived so it wasn't crowded. We began with a beet salad and appetizer. The salad was good with a little too much dressing which made it a bit soggy. The bang bang shrimp was also good and wasn't crispy. When ordering the entree I asked if we could split the stuffed salmon with crabmeat, rice and broccoli. The dish arrived on one plate placed in between us without an extra dinner plate. The center of the fish was raw and the broccoli was overcooked, seasoned with an unusual celery flavor. When the server finally arrived we brought it to her attention. She apologized offering to send it back and would inform the chef. We were scheduled to see a show and waited a while before she checked on us so we opted out. For dessert we ordered the cheesecake with raspberry drizzle. Not too bad with an unusual texture and taste. The crust was very thick and difficult to cut with a spoon. Again, our server was MIA and more customers were coming in. When using a credit card to pay the check there was a $4 admin charge. Overall, it wasn't the worst experience, but it wasn't worth returning and definitely not as good as it used to be
Ate here with my wife prior to a show at the Broadway Theatre of Pitman. Good menu choices with daily specials and the food was fantastic. The owners have an interesting show business background with the owner and cook having won an Emmy. His passion for cooking fine meals started in show business and continues in the restaurant. Highly recommended.

the owner doesn’t deserve the business
Had the worst experience possible here. The owner (female) was insanely rude and acted completely disgusting. She openly berated her very kind staff and argued with customers. I will never, ever return here and will tell friends not to as well. Owner needs to do better, speaking to their staff like that is unacceptable. Very embarrassing behavior. Would give a negative rating if I could.

We had an enjoyable dinner last night at Sweet Lula's. The Alaskan Salmon was delicious. My wife enjoyed the gnocchi and the duck was outstanding along with the tenderloin by our friends. We brought our wine and the staff was pleasant and attentive. Just a great dinner in Pitman. I highly recommend Sweet Lula’s.

My wife’s ribeye was fatty and stringy. It did not taste good. I asked the waitress to take it to the chef and ask him to taste it. She took it and we never heard back from her. I won’t go back

I do many reviews and really don't like giving a less than satisfactory rating, but unfortunately, Sweet Lula's just didn't hold its end of our visit. This was the first time our group ate there. There was just one server working, and there were about 6 or 7 tables seated prior to a show at the theatre It took nearly 15 minutes for the server to greet us. Then we asked for a wine opener to open our bottles. The. had to ask again and then a third time. We also asked for wine glasses. One came with lipstick and also was one glass short. Then we had to ask 3 times again for the wine glasses. The server then brought us another tables food. Now all this was due to the staffing issue and the pressure to get those eating completed prior to the show start. Once they meals came out. 2 were ok, the scampi was soaked in water and the salmon was so salted, it was inedible. They did bring us another fish dish that was then not salted at all. It's a shame. I really wanted to like Sweet Lula's. Big fan of the Pitman reataurants and the small town vibe. Unfortunately, not the case. Other friends who went had a similar result, but I want to give someone a fair shot. One and done for us.
It was so hot it was uncomfortable. We had 3 menus given to us. There was no mention of the 3 course special. We had to ask. The beet salad came without the goat cheese and with half of a tiny metal cup of dressing. The dinners were ok but very highly priced. The salads and appetizers were 17.00 each! Our server gave the wrong dinner to our friend. He then had to wait for his food while we ate ours. No cheese was offered for the pasta. They had no red pepper. At the end of the meal we asked why did we have bread dishes with no bread. She told us we had to ask for bread. Who knew? We had water in a carafe with 3 ice cubes that melted so we drank lukewarm water as we sweated. The decor was ordinary. No one lit the candle in the table. One and done!

Just had the most wonderful dinner with friends. The server was Nicosia it was her first day she did awesome. The chef came out to greet our table, I for sure let him know our meal was delicious. They offers us Jack Daniel bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. It was the best!!!! We really enjoyed this quaint restaurant and will definitely be back. Thank you.
