We got there 1/2 hr after they opened. There were only 6 other tables, very loud music. I ordered crab risotto, sold out! So I ordered lobster ravioli, fishy after taste, my husband ordered crab cake all filler, it came with broccoli that was cold and had a bad after taste. Dinner did not come with salad but did come with cold doughy rolls. So no appetizer, no salad and horrible dinner, with tip$84!

Made a reservation, hostess would not seat us until everyone arrived and was extremely rude about it. Finally, was seated and then waited over 15mins for someone to come over to the table. The waitress was looking at the table and then asked the hostess if our table was hers. She came over - no apology for the delay, took our drink order. Keep in mind a fountain soda costs $4.00. She can back with the drinks, we put in 2 app orders. The first one came out, and the waitress asked if we wanted to put in our diner order. We did, the dinner order was for nothing too crazy, 2 Lobster Ravioli, 1 Salmon,1Duck. The second App came out. We were sitting there again for about 20mins and no one came back to table to check to see if we needed anything. When the waitress did come back, she refilled our drinks, little did we know refills on fountain soda are not free! Anther 15mins go by and still dinner had not been served. We see the waitress frantically going back and forth between the kitchen and then the hostesses. Now it's been almost 1hr since we ordered so we had to flag down the waitress to tell her to cancel our dinner order because we need to leave. We had pitman theater tickets that start at 8pm - like everyone else at the restaurant at 7:50 the whole restaurant cleared out. The waitress went back and all of a sudden, our dinner showed up from the rude hostess, we weren't going to scarf down then food to run to show. We told her to keep it, and we would pay for what we had. Again, no apology she just made a face and walked aware. We get the bill it was $69.00!! The apps were Bangbang Shrimp $14 and the Stuffed mushroom $15; 2 sodas & 2 ice teas were $32.00!! When we questioned the bill and we were told again by the rude hostess they do not offer free refills, so your soda costs more than your food!! Considering they ignored us most of the time we were there, no apology, no let's make this right, nothing. Just handed us the bill and walked away!! I love supporting small business, but I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE!! We have season tickets to the pitman theater, and I would rather go to the pizza shop!!
So, if you are planning on going, I suggest you bring your own drinks because you only get 1 !!! It is a BYOY !!
Horrible place !!

My family has a long-standing tradition of attending the Pitman Theatre Christmas show every year for the past 15 years, and we always go to Sweet Lula’s for dinner beforehand. Unfortunately, our experience seems to get worse each year.
We arrived at 6:00 pm and did not receive our appetizer until 7:30 pm. There were 8 people in our party, yet only 6 rolls were brought to the table. When I asked for a couple more, the response made it feel like an unreasonable request. Our meals finally arrived at 7:45 pm, leaving us rushed and unable to enjoy our dinner before the show.
There was no apology or acknowledgment of the delay, despite multiple tables around us cancelling orders because of the excessive wait time. This is the second year in a row we’ve had this experience, which is disappointing given how long we’ve been loyal customers.
On busy show nights, it may be helpful to limit the number of 6:00 pm reservations so guests can actually enjoy their meal. We truly want to continue this tradition, but changes are clearly needed.

I ate there tonight and the service was good but the cook was extremely rude to the waitering staff. I heard and saw him scream in the waitress’s face and as a waiter myself this is not acceptable. The owner was not very nice. She speaks to customers in a rude way. I would not recommend. I waited over an hour for my food. It seemed like they were not prepared for tonight because of the show across the street. People were leaving before the food comes out. DO NOT COME HERE.

As always the service was very pleasant, food was good and a charming space. It is BYOB However the do offer a variety virgin mocktails. Which makes it fun and enjoyable without the worry of needing a designated driver. Go and enjoy. Best of all it's right across from the Pittman Theater. So enjoy a great meal and a show. Great night out for me and my love.

Very loud. Food was subpar for the price. Crab cakes had no taste of crab. The chicken tikka masala was rather bland. The dumpling appetizer was over fried so they were hard and tasteless. Service was very bad. Couldn't even get the check so we could leave! Waited at least a half hour for the check despite three requests for it. Finally got it when we stood angrily with our coats on and then she created a check for another table instead of ours so she had to go back to do ours. On top of that, they told Open Table, through which we had made our reservations, that we never showed up. Truly wish we hadn't but we did so that was a lie!

We made reservations for dinner but we'll never go there again. The food was terrible- the dumplings were dry and burnt, the crab cake had no taste of crab, and the tikki masala was bland and didn't even have naan. The music was so loud we couldn't have a conversation and the constant clanking of metal from the kitchen was ear piercing. The service was abysmal. We had to wait more than half an hour and make numerous pleas for our check. Worst experience in a long time and we go out once or twice a week.

We recently had dinner at Sweet Lula's and the food was exceptional. The ambiance is very nice and our party was taken care of. I would recommend this restaurant highly. It was also nice that it was a BYOB and they also served "mock cocktails". It is our favorite restaurant in Pitman.

I love this Place! Great food and a nice atmosphere. The owners and staff are very kind and provide good service. The crab encrusted Salmon is my favorite! Perfect for a date night or a nice night out with the family. Brunch is great too! I highly recommend!!

We have been coming to Sweet Lula's periodically for eight years. Dining access is in the front of the restaurant with lots of windows for street views. There are maybe fifteen tables to accommodate various guest size parties. The columns are decorated with hanging artificial vines, flowers and soft lights. Although the atmosphere is pleasant and unique, things have changed. We were a party of two. A party of six were getting ready to order when we arrived so it wasn't crowded. We began with a beet salad and appetizer. The salad was good with a little too much dressing which made it a bit soggy. The bang bang shrimp was also good and wasn't crispy. When ordering the entree I asked if we could split the stuffed salmon with crabmeat, rice and broccoli. The dish arrived on one plate placed in between us without an extra dinner plate. The center of the fish was raw and the broccoli was overcooked, seasoned with an unusual celery flavor. When the server finally arrived we brought it to her attention. She apologized offering to send it back and would inform the chef. We were scheduled to see a show and waited a while before she checked on us so we opted out. For dessert we ordered the cheesecake with raspberry drizzle. Not too bad with an unusual texture and taste. The crust was very thick and difficult to cut with a spoon. Again, our server was MIA and more customers were coming in. When using a credit card to pay the check there was a $4 admin charge. Overall, it wasn't the worst experience, but it wasn't worth returning and definitely not as good as it used to be
The food was amazing. I went for my birthday! I will definitely be back

Ate here with my wife prior to a show at the Broadway Theatre of Pitman. Good menu choices with daily specials and the food was fantastic. The owners have an interesting show business background with the owner and cook having won an Emmy. His passion for cooking fine meals started in show business and continues in the restaurant. Highly recommended.
