Delighted to dine at this wonderful gem. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to discover both soups on the menu were vegetarian (I had a delicious bowl of cream of mushroom) and many of their entrees can be made as vegetarian. The service was wonderful and the food wa scrumptious. I can't wait to go back. While they have a wine list, it's also a BYO which is helpful with cost.

Food was outstanding, we had a salad and grilled octopus as starters and rigatoni with shrimp / duck breast for our mains. One dish was better than the next. Don't sell the salad short, amazing, spinach, pear, baked apple, blue cheese and nuts with a great dressing. Probably our best dinner this year. Table was awkwardly placed near the entrance way, and surprising number of young kids (2 years old), even arriving at 8pm but we enjoyed the night just the same. Service was super attentive. Oh, the banana split dessert was really good too. Good size portions, we left stuffed. Bravo.

I finally made it here to celebrate my Birthday ! I tried to come when they were at the previous location but had to cancel . Jessica’s is centered in the town of Fanwood across from the train station and it is beautifully decorated and has a romantic atmosphere. Staff were super friendly and very attentive. We were a party of 5 and although there were plenty of tables open they placed at chair at the end of a 4 person table which made table feel a bit crowded.
They have a very nice menu selection but felt it was more Italian than French . Portion sizes are on the small size especially the appetizers so keep that in mind if you have a large party . They bring sliced focaccia bread to the table to start. Also when you place your order it must be the entire tables appetizers and entrees order all at once .
We ordered beet salad ( which was delicious) , meatballs which there were two perfectly cooked but missing flavor we also ordered the fried burrata which also lacked flavor would have been nice with garlic crostini. For our main dishes we ordered the Pasta Al Ragu which was hearty and tasty but pasta was very Al dente , Short Rib cavatelli which was good , fettuccini seafood pasta the sauce had good flavor but watery consistency, Potato Gnocchi which fell a little flat in flavor department and sauce was also watery, Also we ordered the pork chop which was nice and juicy but also lacked flavor by itself but with the cabbage it elevated the flavor . All in all we enjoyed our meal and the ambiance. I wish them the best of luck in the newer location .

Great neighborhood restaurant. Food is consistently very good. Our most recent visit we had pork chop and fettuccini al ragu - both were great, the pasta was really excellent. Apricot bread pudding as well great finish to meal. Highly recommend!

Extraordinary place to celebrate a special occasion! Delicious food, excellent atmosphere, and the staff goes above and beyond. We’ve been to the restaurant when it was Jessica’s Cafe and now as Jessica’s Restaurant it is just as great, if not better. We highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.

I agree with other past reviews the bread is always somewhat stale, hard, and chewy ??‍♂️ We had ordered the fettuccine seafood, as for the scallops they definitely sliced one sea scallop into 6-7 pieces, that’s unacceptable ??‍♂️ The table next to us needed their server they complained they were all standing around talking and laughing instead of attending tables ??‍♂️ The portions are not the same as before. The new location has a nice atmosphere ? My Advice: don’t get a bad reputation with negative reviews as that’s very hard to reverse. These are tough times play it safe !!!

Intimate restaurant with seating inside and out. Very accomodating since we arrived early and not open for business yet. Service top notch, I always based restaurants on how a glass of water is refilled. If ur glass of water is half empty, a good restaurant will automatically refill ur glass without requesting for more water. It shows how the staff is attentive to a customer's need. Food was phenomenal fr. start to finish!! Highly recommended!

Atmosphere was comfortable warm and cozy. Ordered many things to get a good try. Butternut squash soup was great, however octopus had such a weird taste that was off putting. Short rib pasta was a bit watery not hot at all. Meatballs were very nice and herby, lobster crepes were nice as well.. Lastly our waitress Rose gave us a boring service not even a smile and didn’t even introduce herself with her name. We only know her name because she gave a great intro to the table next to us which made us feel weird… I believe she could’ve done more to make us feel special. We had a reservation and it was my birthday.
