Minos Bakery

Minos used to be the best, but my last 3 visits have been disappointing. Their multi- sprinkle cookies were unmatched; however something has changed. The texture is different- the underside harder with the classic taste missing and less baked in sprinkles.
Donuts have more cakey dough, they’re thicker, and the white cream was super sweet and dense. Out of a half dozen purchased, 4 donuts are left- 2 days later.
It feels like the baker(s) have lost the love with these treats. Everything tastes similar to the past, but the taste/ flavor is just not as good. Are there new owners in the past 1-2 years?

I live in Texas now, but my family is still in South Jersey. Every time I come to visit I always stop by Minos for my fix! Haha
I grew up with the delicious bakery pastries of Minos! Every year I’d get my strawberry shortcake birthday cake from Minos! It’s still just as tasty! I love their wedding cake slices (vanilla), their powdered cream filled donuts, strawberry shortcake, crème brûlée, and I always get a sprinkled cupcake to fly back home! The women who help me are always very friendly as well.

I bought the premade Danish & Sticky trays. 1 large 1 small. I was there a bit after 7am this morning. They were not fresh. Not even a little bit. I bought the bigger tray for the people at Atlantic Care. I'm a bit embarrassed. Maybe they thought I brought day old danishes :-(

25 years ago,I would have recommended. The counter staff isnt friendly. The quality of their products have declined.

I had not been there for a while. I used to like their donuts . This time I could not believe how small their donuts had gotten, you could fit a dozen in a half dozen box. On top of that the donuts were not even fresh. I won't be going there again!!

Cookies and pastries were old and stale. Not the same Minos I remember growing up. I bought a variety pack of cookies and they all tasted the same like super sweet stale sugar cookies. The sticky bun was old and rock hard no flavor. Please do better. Seems as if they just gave up on this place.

The smells and colors will hit you like a freight train, You will never want to go to a Dunkin' Donuts or overpriced chain bakery ever again. It will ruin you for every artificial ingredient-laden competitor out there, and you will return time and time again, build a family and bring your children in-tow.
