Tootie’s is a New Egypt icon. We are family here and the staff treats us very well. You’re sure to meet a familiar face there and when you go at night for the fresh and delicious ice cream, you will most certainly see people from all over, lining up the entire sidewalk waiting for the famous treats. We love Tootie’s and are proud to support our local businesses. There isn’t a time when we have never felt like family there. Long live Tootie’s and Tootie’s Ice Cream! (By the way, they’re famous for their Chipwich sandwiches…)

Going to breakfast at tooties on the weekends is one of my favorite things! The staff is so nice and and welcoming! I also love seeing all the town regulars! Definitely a staple for decades in New Egypt! The best ice cream in NJ! I enjoy seeing Alex and Olivia and the rest of the staff! Thanks to Tootie for creating a place to eat and hang with friends!

I gave this place a chance twice and both times severely disappointed. When I first moved here I didn't know the ice cream was seasonal. I found that out in a very rude manner. The waitress was horrendous and had a terrible attitude problem. I though okay maybe it was an off day for her. So I went there a second time. Although the food was okay, I was again met with a foul attitude from this woman. Ì will not go back because of Olivia Miller. In fact a lot of other locals feel the same way. She either needs an attitude adjustment or needs to be let go.

Cash only, has a really great homestyle feel, but the wait-staff don't go above and beyond to cater to you. If you need something, gotta ask. Didn't get refills on anything until we asked. Not much seating, but a decent small town diner with regulars who do entertain x3 we enjoyed the food, price and ambiance... just felt a bit out of place since it was our first time, totally felt like an outsider. I Would recommended their loaded homefries/hash. They were well loaded!

I always like going out, love food, enjoy good company, nothing like a good laugh, and that's why I've been eating at Tooties for almost 40 years. You can close your eyes and point at a place anywhere on the menu and you'll never get a bad meal. Everything is absolutely fresh, homemade, and always delicious. If its morning or you're just in a breakfast mood I suggest a ham and cheese omlette or any omlette on the menu is absolutely top notch and huge portions of home fries come with it. It's usually locals in there eating catching up on the interesting town gossip and if you smile as you walk in and just give a quick nod you're instantly part of the family and the conversations in Tooties are part of the experience. The waitresses are always in a good mood. If you're having a not so great day going in, I guarantee you'll be smiling coming out. The food, the atmosphere, the gossip, the smiling waitresses, and the food are enough to fill you're belly and brighten the crankiest persons day. I don't have time to begin to tell you about the Tooties homemade ice cream. That's a entire book describing deliciousness all on its own. If you don't make it in to the restaurant for breakfast or lunch (I think they close at 2 or 3) be sure to stop at the outdoor ice cream window. You will not be disappointed. I was talking to a couple in line last year who drive up from Delaware just to get Tooties ice cream if that tells you anything. Four hours round trip three times a week for ice cream gives you a idea how good it is.Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed in the restaurant. Tooties is not mean to kids in anyway, they need to eat too.Wheelchair accessibility: You can roll right in and out. Theres plenty of room inside and a few different ramps on the curbs outside.

Small with an old time diner atmosphere. Service was great, food was great, and prices were reasonable. This restaurant is cash only so remember to bring some.
