Disappointed at our last visit to the Bistro. We've been going to this restaurant for years, ever since they had two locations on Broadway.
Our server's name was Casey. The only time that we interacted with her was in the beginning for the order and at the end for the bill. The gentlemen that brought out the bread, cleaned off the table, refilled the water, and brought out the food were much more pleasant and professional.
We expected more from our server at this type of high-end restaurant, as there is plenty of competition in the Point Pleasant Beach area. We'll think twice before returning to the Bistro.

One of the best meals I’ve had in the Shore! Chef Bass’s presence is felt throughout the restaurant and the atmosphere has sophistication without pretension.

I've been wanting a I come here for a very long time and it was very much worth the wait! The food was amazing, the service was great although we didn't see our server often, I would highly recommend! I had the halibut special and my husband had the ossu bucco! Amazing!

For starters, the bruschetta and tomato soup tastings were excellent. Appetizers were solid overall—the shrimp bisque was very good, while the Raspberry Point oysters came across a little bitter, not as sweet and briny as I’ve had before (though that could just be the August season).

For mains, the braised short ribs were outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The halibut, however, was underwhelming: bland and lacking the firmness I expected. We did add the African lobster tail to each entrée, and those were cooked perfectly—tender, buttery, and delicious.

Dessert was a mixed bag: the bananas foster was excellent (and fun to watch being made tableside), but the crème brûlée was a little off—the top lacked the signature crispness and had a more rubbery texture.

Service throughout was great, attentive without being overbearing, and the cozy, quaint bistro atmosphere made for a very nice evening.

The reason for 4 stars instead of 5: for a $250 bill for two, I expect more consistent “wow” moments in both flavor and execution. Still, Daniel’s Bistro delivers a wonderful dining experience overall, with a few areas that could use refinement.

I can't say enough about this place service and food wise. Easy to park and walk to. The owner, Bass took care of me when I wasn't used to such service. If you want to splurge a little and have an experience, go there. I hope maybe I can work the line there sometime. I tried new things and was treated with dignity and kindness, even though I dont necessarily fit the fine dining profile outwardly. Cheers. Go. Try the duck meatballs

Absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish! Chef Bass’s hospitality was second to none—warm, genuine, and truly made us feel like honored guests. The lobster tail was the star of the evening: perfectly cooked, buttery, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was unforgettable. The wait staff was incredibly attentive without being intrusive—always anticipating our needs and ensuring our glasses were never empty. From the ambiance to the service and, of course, the exceptional food, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you Chef Bass, Kim, and crew. I cannot wait to return!!!

We are first timers, and what a pleasant surprise . . .
Food, service and ambience were all 10's!!!
They start with bringing bruschetta topped with a tasty sliver of cheese and a small serving of tomato bisque - both delicious.
We split a Caesar salad which was ample and very good.
I ordered Pork Osso Buco which was served over mushroom risotto in a rich brown gravy and Haricot Verts. It was cooked fall-off-the bone and had very litte fat - Excellent!
My wife ordered Artic Char and absolutely loved it.
From our initial interaction with the hostess, the service was top notch and classy. Hailey, our server, elevated our dining experience with gracious and perfect service.
Cn't wait to go back, so we made a reservation for this Wednesday .

This restaurant is a gem! It is beautiful, sophisticated, chic and so inviting. The staff are all so welcoming, pleasant, attentive and professional. The food is excellent with the freshest ingredients, creatively-presented, and the quality of each dish is five star gourmet. Everything we ordered was prepared to perfection. We enjoyed this dining experience so much and would highly recommend Daniel’s Bistro to anyone who loves food, great ambiance, fine service and feeling right at home in this exquisite venue.

Today was our anniversary. We have been going to Daniel's for many years and never had an issue until tonight. My wife ordered Halibut and I ordered a pork chop medium rare. We shared a tuna tower as an appetizer.
My wife's halibut was not good. It was bland. She sent it back and ordered scallops The scallops came out only one side seared. My pork chop arrived cooked medium well, not medium rare as i requested. I sent it back. They then brought me another pork chop raw. I showed it to the server and said forget it. The chef never came to our table to apologize or offer us to try coming back another time.
We will not go back to Daniel's and unfortunately things changed there for worse. Our service was not great either. We were sitting next to another couple who was also celebrating their anniversary. They were given a special plate recognizing their special occasion. We were not so fortunate, even though our anniversary was noted on resy. We were very dissatisfied and I left hungry.

We were very disappointed. We ordered hailut. It was not good. It was sent back and got scallops. Only one side was seared. I ordered pork chop medium rare. It arrived overcooked. I sent it back and the brought me another. It was raw. This was our anniversary dinner. I did not eat. Our service was not great either. We won't go back. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. Oh well, things change!
