food was ok but soo overpriced, service was awful. really rude waitress. gave me attitude when i alerted her about an allergy, gave my boyfriend attitude when he asked for a specific salsa after she brought us a mild salsa without asking which one we wanted. didn’t check in on us, and was really rude and tense the whole time.

I visited Doña Julia recently and ordered the tacos dorados. Unfortunately, they were a huge disappointment. The filling was nothing more than boiled, tasteless chicken stuffed into a fried corn tortilla, topped with a little lettuce and tomato. There was zero seasoning, no flavor, and absolutely none of the authentic Mexican touch you’d expect from a dish like this.

What should have been a crisp, savory, and satisfying plate felt bland and uninspired. If you’re looking for real Mexican flavors, this isn’t the place.

Great place!
We’ve eaten here several times and ordered take out countless times. Always delicious!
We love the nachos, chimichangas, empanadas, burritos, and tostones con guacamole. Attentive staff and fair prices.

All the food is very authentic and fairly priced. The nachos are the best that I have ever had! Get them fully loaded. I have had many, many meals from the restaurant and they all are very delicious.

Horrible experience and customer service/. Ordered door dash and not only did my order come 50 min late it arrived incomplete. When I called the Restraunt to complain I was basically told that it wasn’t their fault and I was lieing. Told me it wasn’t their problem: btw the food that did arrive was terrible and thrown together

Always looking for a new foodie experience and came across this little gem! We had steak tacos, chalupas and flautas, all excellent! The chips and salsa were good and the guacamole was silky and chunky and you have to have the tres leches! Itzury was sweet and very attentive
Congrats on making Top 10 on NJ.Coms Mexican restaurants list #8
We’ll definitely be back!

Terrible, food was undercooked was a drunk patron showing us his bottle of gin. The servers were sweet but the food and atmosphere were not good.

There is no shortage of great Mexican restaurants in this area, but doña julia takes the cake. I always eat every last bite on my plate (no exaggeration). Local favorite. Always my number one recommendation for delicious Mexican meal / takeout.

What terrible and poor service from the waitress. The food was too salty, and when we tried to say something to the waitress, she simply ignored us. I don't recommend this place; it's not worth it.
