Bad service, they slam the plates and don't have the orders ready to serve together.

Well I have nothing against the restaurant but they must do things right with the food, today I ordered food which on the menu had a price when it arrived the food was more expensive now my food did not have salt the meat was not to my liking it was too tough try to give fresh meats for the price it was not worth it and apart from that it was simple without flavor and the sauces are not spicy and it is a Mexican restaurant just give it that Mexican flavor I was very disappointed

I am a Gringo, but kind of an expert with Mexican Food. And my Spouse is from Mexico.

We ate here today, Monday,10/21/24,around 5:00 p.m., it was our second visit. We have not visited in over a year but returned and
met the same owner.

I would NOT recommend this place for Authentic Mexican Food!!!

The food is not as good as the first time.

Pros:
Owner is nice.
Small place, good decor
BYOB
Additional al fresco, sidewalk dining ( if you like ).

Cons:
Burrito: chicken and entire Burrito contents were skimpy (Burrito was Small) and bland! Lacking not only spice but flavor, pricey at $14. with chips that I told them I do not eat or want. Very little Guacamole and Pico de Gallo inside it.
It is more like Tex Mex food and the server agreed. (?)
A taco bell Burrito grande is larger and more tasty.
Huarache: Just okay, mediocre size, pricey at $15.50 .
Salsas Roja y Verde not that pica (spicy).
Plastic cups with ice for BYOB.(?)
I guess no glasses.(?)
3.5 % fee added for credit card purchases, common these days.

Paid check first then complained, but no apologies from server or owner.

As with most places, bathroom could have been cleaner and back area near kitchen could be much cleaner.

We were very disappointed and will not be returning!!!
I would NOT recommend this restaurant to family or friends!!!

Fun small Mexican restaurant in PPB. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was quite casual, and the server was very helpful.
The chips (not hot) were tasty, and 2 bottles of salsa were on the table. I preferred the green
For dinner, we split a chicken stew, which was beyond expectations. Next time, we'll try the beef version. To accompany the soup, we had a carnitas quesadillas. Overall, it was a nice dinner, tasty and very filling. We'll go back

I got the chimichanga and the nachos. This place is authentic and delicious. The staff was so nice and attentive. It was busy at 925pm on a Friday night that’s how good this place is! Highly recommend. Hidden gem!

I had pork pozole in red; it was perfect! my friend had chicken enchiladas en salsa verde which were also fantastic. We chose to dine outside where there are three or four tables out front on the sidewalk. Portions were large and service was very efficient and friendly. Chips and 2 types of salsa ( red and green) are provided free of charge while you look at the extensive menu. There is parking in the street, as well as at least 2 public lots. Its located right on Arnold ave just west of the train station, right in the downtown area where there are many other pleasant shops and restaurants. We would definitely go back again

Top of the line service combined with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and some of the best food you'll have makes this place an absolute gem. I've never had a bad experience nor have I had a bad meal.

Highly recommended.

This amazing, little BYOB restaurant is our absolute favorite!! Not once have we had a bad meal, or experience. I dream about their food!! We've tried several different items on the menu, starting with the street corn, birra tacos, chimichangas, enchiladas, fajitas, homemade guacamole, churros etc, etc., and each and everyone was delicious! Last night, we tried their shredded chicken empanadas, and yep, they were amazing too!! Everything is so fresh and prepared in front of you! The staff is so welcoming and always smiling! Check it out!

I’m about a month behind on this review but I love this restaurant! The food is always good and we always get great service. I ordered two Caja Loca packs and some extra stuff for my husband’s birthday back in August. I came by the day before and paid for it all, told them when I needed it, and it was super easy to take care of. I came by the next day and it was hot and ready for us. They were very sweet and the food was incredible. And it fed a bunch of us! Love El Pollito Loco and their staff. Thanks for making my husband’s birthday special. You guys are great!

I was told a 10 minute wait for a table. When I went back inside to ask how much longer. I was told that I never came and asked for table and was turned away. After waiting and everything almost being closed now. This was very unprofessional and someone should have asked for my name.
