My wife and I loved going here as locals but after tonight I don’t know if we will back. The bartender and security guards misidentified my wife and had 8 guards escort her out and embarrassed her. We literally had no idea what was going on, I bought a round and the bartender took my money knowing she was planning on kicking my wife out. She wasn’t the right person to get kicked out. What an absolute embarrassment of a staff.

If anyone is thinking about traveling a long distance to go to Jenks Halloween bash it isn’t worth it. It is unorganized chaos. There is only one category and they should have more. If your number is called it is so difficult to get up on stage due the crowd you can’t even move. It wasn’t enjoyable at all. I drove 3 hours. The costumes that were nominated were horrible compared to the ones that took hours putting on makeup and putting a lot more thought into there costume. Whoever judged this contest did a horrible job. There also was nowhere near $25,000.00 worth of prizes. That definitely was a joke.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH: Come to this seasonal and beautiful spot right on a fenced-in sandy beach where dogs can run around off-leash and, if you prefer, on-leash. All dogs are in one area (not separated by size).

There are outdoor bars to get a drink and you can order food from a menu with a lot of selections and a server can take your order or you can order at the bar. There is also a doggie menu with a choice of meat, green beans, and carrots.

Dogs are not allowed inside the building, but a pet parent can go inside for more bars, food, and restrooms.

If it is your first time attending this year, you need to complete a waiver when you arrive (dogs must be fixed and updated on rabies vaccination). All ages are welcome and it is family friendly!

Point Pleasant is very strict about dogs on the boardwalk (they are not allowed), but they are able to cross over to get to Jenks. Park in the area of the aquarium so you don’t have to walk on the boardwalk too long.

We had a wonderful midweek experience. The red snapper was fresh caught with a pricy $40 per plate, including 2 sides. Delicious. Drinks were spot on in plastic cups. The fireworks added to the experience. Then, a classic rock band performed live. Dont get the 3 star ratings.

Parking: Paid $20 across street lot.

Guards kicked me out basied on a drunk persons statement that I pushed to get up to front row. I’m a calm mature person that would never do such a thing
They escorted me out like a true criminal. Very sad. Will never return

I was extremely disappointed with the service of the blonde bartender. She was extremely rude to me and my friend when we went. She would only go to the guys at the bar and when we asked he nicely for our drinks she said “i don’t know what to tell you i’m going down the line.” We were next in line and she completely disregarded us and went up to other guys that just came up to the bar. We then asked a guy to go get us the drinks and all the bartenders were whispering about us and asked the guy if he was with us. The blonde and brunette bartender that night were both extremely rude and i will not be coming back. I have seen other reviews about this blonde bartender and i’m not sure how she still has a job here. it was honestly just ridiculous how unprofessional and rude she was.

Very scenic setting, right by the beach. 10$ cover, loud music from 6pm onwards. Only stayed for 1.5h but it looked like fun, will come back.

Typical boardwalk food, but really good. People with me loved the pizza, went back for more. Frozen cocktails were good, and strong. Security, waitstaff work their a$$es off - it gets crowded. If you are at the shore, a must do. Shout out to the Security staff, Mark. I saw him going above and beyond to help people, running to get extra chairs for older people, very kind.

Parking is tough, only negative

We will never be coming back here. my friend, bf & I came at around 6pm & told the woman at “security” our friends had a table(they did) & she let us through. We found our friends, & our server told us the table would be ready in 5 minutes so we waited on on the sand for our table. Our friends told us they had gotten stamped & we wanted to make sure we did to, so we went back to the woman & she immediately got rude & loud, “you lied to me, you don’t have a table” & we were confused bc we had no idea what the problem was. my friend was like “yes we do the server told us to wait.” & the “security,” said very aggressively, “then show me the table if you have one, show me” so we called our friend who had received the text with the table reservation to come over & woman was still acting like we were doing something wrong. She told us she wasn’t stamping us until we had a receipt, so like okay? We asked our server about it & he was confused too. We approached another security guard about it bc we were worried they would kick us out without stamps, he took us back to the front, & the rude woman was obviously saying lies to him & he came back aggressively & said we have to show him the receipt of the food? Sure. After we took the receipt to the security that gives out the stamps and they literally just stamped us, no issues at all. The woman security was just giving us a hard time for no reason. The only reason we stayed was because our friends there before us had already paid. The “security” needs to learn to listen before acting, & get a better attitude. Bc ugly looks bad on everyone.

Also we had like 5 drinks and no one felt drunk, the water was dirty & tasted like jalapeños & the music was trash.

The atmosphere itself is great as half of it is blocked off on it’s own little beach, and it is one of my favorite spots to go out at as a local of the area. But if I could leave no stars I would after a horrible experience that I had with a bartender pictured below named John, according to the bartender that was working with him in the tiki hut bar by the main entrance.

My friend and I went up to John’s spot for some drinks, and while we were up there I was starting to pick up that we had been waiting longer than usual. It was then that I started to notice that he was looking around to see if anyone needed help, but proceeded to keep skipping over my friend and I. A new group of people came up after about fifteen minutes of us still waiting to get served, and as soon as the group got up there next to us he helped them immediately. Naturally at any bar if you see someone getting served before you and you have been waiting awhile, if you feel comfortable saying something about it you say something. So I called out John and said to him, “Excuse me, but we have been waiting for quite some time now and we were here first before that group you’re trying to take care of right now.” He then looked at me, laughs, and goes, “I don’t know if you’ve seen, but I go in a rotating order. I’m helping them first, and then I’m helping you.” Wow, like I’m suppose to notice that you’re going in a “rotating order,” while other people next to me waiting to get served are also agreeing with me saying that you’re not going in any particular order at all. Because of his rude response, I did clap back at him since I do not let anyone think they can get away with being rude to me. When asking him how I was suppose to pick up on his “rotating order,” John replied, “Stay awhile and you will find out.”

This was terrible service as a bartender, and let alone customer service in general. It was quite an embarrassing experience for me as I have never had any issues when going out to Jenks with my friends. Based off the service that I received from John, I obviously decided not to give him a tip (in which when he realized he didn’t get a tip from me he said, “And of course I don’t get a f*cking tip”) after waiting 15 minutes for him to open up three cans of Surfside’s for my friend and I, and get belittled by him for calling him out for serving other people who had just walked up to the bar with no wait before me. So not only does John need a lesson from his parents, his boss, or a counselor on how to talk to people, he also desperately needs to go back to bar tending school too as later on that night my boyfriend got an Orange Crush made by him that was just watered down orange juice and vodka. This club/boardwalk needs to wake up and look at all of the recent reviews of unwell customer service, and start firing people for repeated complaints of dissatisfaction of how they treat their customers.
