Joe Leone's Italian Specialties

We went to an event catered by Leone’s and came away disappointed.

Been going to Point Pleasant for years with our a single complaint. At this seniors event the offerings were near inedible and menu unbalanced.

While this was my first experience with Leone’ s catering. I will certainly avoid another.

Most everything was delicious. The sandwiches made to order are worth the reasonable price However, a loaf of Italian semolina bread wasn't fresh as expected-- a little dry and chewy. An eggplant Parmesan pie is very nice.

Cannot beat the selection or flavors. Asiago dip, eggplant pie, eggplant rollatini and the bread are excellent! Pricey and a little claustrophobic.

Stopped in for some goodies to take back home. Really wanted artichokes so I could have them for dinner. Employee asked if we needed help. After I told him, he offered to make us some. He came back 10 minutes later with an amazing container of artichokes & a container of franchise sauce. Gave me instructions on how to cook them, sauce, he said, is no charge. Put out his hand, I’m Joe Leone. Talk about customer service!! Thanks, Joe!

The food was good. We got sandwiches, salad and chips and dips. The employees that made the sandwiches were quick and really had great teamwork!!!

Great old fashioned Italian Market. Excellent choices and everything is super fresh. They sell mozzarella butter. Could be best thing I ever had on a piece of toast.

This place is excellent for the variety of fresh Italian foods. The selection is amazing and always good. However, I do have a concern that I am sure others share as well. If you ever go there for a sandwich, it takes forever to get one. The line is always 10-20 deep. This AM I went in for 3 sandwiches and 3 people were absolutely busting their butts to server the customers and 2 people were standing around doing nothing. One was even doing something on his phone in front of customers. I waited almost 25 minutes to get my sandwiches and the entire time I was there, he did absolutely nothing productive. This would never fly in a non-resort area. People would go elsewhere for faster service. Management should look into that, other choices exist nearby for sandwiches...

Mozzarella and marinara sauce are good. Canoli cookies were good. Will be back for some of the entrees

Never fails to disappoint! Love everything every time I've been there!!

Best deli period no substitute

I am a first generation ItaloAmerican- Truly superb! Excellent selections of highest quality foods. 6+ choices of Imported prosciutto- some of the best I've had. Prepared foods are wonderful. Fresh made mozzarella and semolina breads were still warm. I wish it was closer to my home!

I stopped in on a Monday and a place was so crowded. The line was so long that I didn’t have the time to stay so I left.

This 1 star is for their pre cooked chicken. I bought 2 pieces of Chicken Milense ($17) and 1 piece of chicken Parm ($14). The were all so dry it seemed like we could choke. The sauce and cheese were tasty but both chickens lacked any flavor. If I didn't live 30 min away I would have brought them back as we did not could not eat them.
Very disappointed. I've had sandwiches there before but will NOT be going back.
UPDATE:
I am back with a follow up. While I can't change the fact that the chicken was not good. JL's and I communicated and I appreciate good customer service. I want to see a local business do well. I told them my concerns and they plan on making adjustments accordingly. I was given a gift cert to cover my expense for the chicken.
Hopefully my experience will be better, I am optimistic because they seem to care and want to provide great food and services.

Can one live on Joe’s Broccoli Rabe and nothing else ?!? Delicious as were all others items chosen for our dinner of eight. Go !!
