The most beautiful view of any restaurant I’ve been to in Point Pleasant — literally on the sand with a beautiful view of the ocean. And staff was wonderful! Would definitely recommend.

The Lido Café is a great place to eat breakfast/brunch & dinner, the food service and atmosphere is amazing overlooking the beach at the White Sands hotel in Point Pleasant Beach. The new management who has been in the restaurant business for years are an awesome family. Thank you Carmine & family for your warm hospitality! Paul & Linda

If I could give 0 stars, I really would. I hate to leave bad reviews but this was such a terrible experience, I feel I owe it to others to share. This place has the absolute most terrible service I've ever experienced, and I've experienced some really terrible service and usually just roll with it because s*** happens. But as a single mom of two who scraped up enough money to take my kids on vacation just to end up paying over $50 for an experience that almost made me cry because of frustration, I have no remorse for leaving a bad review. What a nightmare. We were the 2nd people there in the morning. We arrived around 815. Our table was covered in ants due to them being all over the syrup bottle in a basket. Our server honestly seemed under the influence. No judgment here but it affected service. She was very clumsy and high energy. She removed the ant covered basket and we moved tables. She handed us back napkins covered in ants. I gave them back to her. Our food order wasn't taken until over 35-40 minutes later despite all of the other people who arrived after us having their orders taken and some had even gotten their food. We finally get a new basket, turns out their were ants all over the syrup on that one too and some dead ants around the bottom of the cap. The server must have noticed my frustration when it was over an hour later and people had finished their meals, and gave a lot of excuses which honestly just pissed me off even more. She said there were a lot of people before me and I reminded her that we were the 2nd people there. This wasn't a short staffed situation either. There were 2 other servers who promptly took orders and delivered the food to tables to all of the people who arrived after us. My server disappeared often, would walk into chairs, drop things, etc. The people at the tables around us apologized and stated they felt bad eating before us and that our meals should be free, which was embarrassing and the look on my kids faces made me want to cry. When it started to rain after about an hour and 20 minutes of waiting to eat, we still hadn't received our food so we went inside. We finally got our food over an hour and a half later - after the owner or manager told our server (who charged someone else the wrong amount and was struggling to refund them) that our food was sitting there waiting for her to get it. It was luke warm and was not made to order. The bacon wasn't crispy like I asked, the eggs were runny, etc. It was the last straw for me so I asked to speak to the manager or owner. He was also filled with excuses rather than apologies or even comping our food. After returning to the indoor table, I discovered it was covered in ants again. She brought us another basket with ants on it. I was finally so fed up I asked for the food warmed and wrapped up to go because I was about to cry. What speaks volumes about the kind of place he's running is that instead of offering us the food for free and apologizing, he gave me an employee discount of like $11 and I still paid over $51 for terrible food, terrible service, and a terrible morning. By that point, I was so frustrated and done that I just wanted to pay and leave. It was worth the $50 just to get the hell out of there. To make matters worse, when the server realized I didn't tip her (I opted to put $2 in the big tip jar instead- which was generous considering everything) she said "wow, that's funny."I usually always tip 20-25%, even when service is bad, but I'm sorry but on what planet would I tip you?? Let me end this by saying I work for a health department and I'll be making a call to the local health department about this place. Save your money and go somewhere else.

It's a great location but 45 mins for basic breakfast items , which came out wrong and missing items is insane. I could totally understand if it was busy or short staffed but neither was the case. Our homefries had some mystery item in them, with no explanation of what it was and no apologies given. For a breakfast sandwich , pancakes and basic egg breakfast , 60 bucks. No silverware given or water even. Clearly management could care less because the entire patio was unhappy and no one came out to apologize. I won't be eating here again when I stay.

Hidden gem right in Point Pleasant Beach under new management. It's got beautiful ocean views, good food, and attentive servers! My breakfast was excellent. Looking forward to returning for lunch and dinner (and they take reservations!).

WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER. Food was extremely slow coming out of the kitchen and served one at a time in no logical order. We waited for over 50 minutes and ended up cancelling one meal & getting one to go.Out of the food we did manage to eat there, it was either missing items (i.e. Avo BLT with no bacon) or just not as described on the menu. The waitress was extremely apologetic but the owner not as much so. Frankly I’m amazed it’s still in business.

Spent a week visiting Pt. Pleasant and ate most of our meals at the Lido. New Management was great and made sure the food and service met all expectations. Especially of note were the dinners served Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. True Italian specialties! Certainly worth a visit.

Excellent service! Food was out of this world! It’s become our weekly night out. Breakfast and lunch are also perfect! Not to be confused with the old Lido Cafe, this establishment is under new ownership! Bravo to Carmine and Cindy for bringing the best to Point Pleasant!
