Such a great shore place! The atmosphere and the service are great. Food is wonderful. Have the garlic shrimp appetizer.. you won't be disappointed. It can get really busy there so plan ahead! Update 3/28/24- always a great place for lunch on Good Friday to get you through a day on the boardwalk.

Mmmmmmm . . . warm, buttery lobster roll. The best. Try a hot lobster roll and you'll likely never go back to the mayonnaise variety.

Disclaimer- review is heavily rated on the food itself. The service and atmosphere were all good with no complaints. However, this was the major disappointing lobster dinner I ever had, and I have had a lot.The lobster BLT was pretty much all bacon with a single lobster claw as lobster. For $26 bucks , definitely better off getting the lobster roll.Twin lobster dinner ,was just flat out terrible. We asked for ours steamed and pretty sure it was cooked, as it had burnt marks and was dryer than the Sahara dessert.Very disappointed.

My husband and I made reservations for this restaurant 2 weeks ago for his mother's birthday. He called ahead and asked please for a table in the back of restaurant due to their age. They said they would accommodate this request. Upon arrival, we explained that we had called and have reservations but the hostess was reluctant to accommodate our request. She was rude. Asked another worker to assist us with seating. She too was reluctant to help and acted like they were being put out. They finally gave us a table. Our waitress (Katie g.) Was as bland as our entrees. Waitress was overwhelmed and appeared to be the sole waitress for the restraunt part. The high lite of the night were the appetizers. The men fro. The kitchen were extremely personable and happy and fast. They should be the servers for the place. The woman there need to take lessons from them. Luckily our parents enjoyed the broiled seafood special platter. Brownie sundae was pitiful. Especially for a bday girl. Waitress could have put some effort into it. Will not be returning.

The hostess with the glasses and prune puss, was very crass and off putting. If it wasn’t for the food and wait staff, I would think twice about returning. Please remember that your hostess is the first engagement for your customer. That one individual can set the tone for patrons dining experience. Maybe coat check is a better station for her.

Came in here on a Saturday. The place wasn't busy. Sat at the table for 30 minutes - nobody came by. We left.

This review hurts me. I was excited to get to Point Lobster for my birthday the other day. We drove 55 minutes to get there. There are 2 doors to get into the place. One has a hostess the other doesn't. We walked in the "other"...Stood there for 2 minutes, place was empty, 445pm, so we just sat down. Hostess came around 5 minutes later and was shocked we were there. She said the tables are reserved... It was 450pm and nearly empty... She said we could stay and tossed us our silverware. She just set the tone for a bad experience. Twice we over heard her talk to co workers about us just taking a table...You could feel the bad vibes she was putting off.. With that being said, there was no munchies before the meal???...No salad, no bread, a couple of carrots, peanuts. Nothing.. Seemed odd?? Our server was very good. He was attentive and pleasant, no problem there. When it came to the main meal. FOOD WAS GREAT! I had a 2lb stuffed Lobster, Fantastic! The potatoes and corn were through the roof...They should have served that first.... My son had the Tuna, amazing he said and wifey had the Fra diablo! Again amazing.... With the tip it was $200 for three of us and no appetizers.... Sorry to say we won't be back, there are plenty of other "Lobster" places that are a better value for your buck. Total shame because it was a great meal they served up.
