Spent Friday afternoon, 9/5/25, on Jenk’s beach. Never went to Point Lobster before so on the way home decided to stop jn. Picked up 2.6 lb lobster and put in fridge overnight for Saturday’s dinner. Had it tonight. Wonderful! So sweet and tender. Very reasonably priced. Easily would have cost twice as much, if not more, in a restaurant. Highly recommend Point 🦞. Only live 20 minutes away. Will definitely be back! Thank you.

Such a lovely place. Cozy atmosphere and a comfortable spot to be. The scenery around the place is everything i want when visiting down the shore. The place is very family friendly, very casual and laid-back. The kids that seated and served us were all very sweet and friendly. My fiancé is the seafood fan of the family and I really don’t care for it myself, but the lobster bisque was WOW! So good. I got the fettuccine vodka for myself, and it was very homey. We drove all the way from sussex county, 2 hours, and were not disappointed! We agreed Point Lobster is officially a new spot when we come down! Heating up my leftovers as i write this😊

We were greeted by a kind & welcoming hostess, and we were sat inside. We ordered the tuna nachos, lobster bisque and two hot lobster rolls. The food was very very fresh and delicious. I really like the texture of the wontons and the lobster roll Knocked my socks off.

Lobster roll was fair but nothing great. The halibut was way over cooked. The mango salad was good we except the mangoes were rock hard and inetible.

My friends and I visited today, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing.

First, we were told there was a waitlist, which was understandable since they don’t take reservations. We waited 40 minutes, looked over the menu while waiting, and placed our order right away once seated. Then we just sat…and sat. After 45 minutes, our waitress finally returned to say, “I’m sorry, I have bad news—there’s no lobster bisque.” That alone held up all seven of our appetizers. Meanwhile, tables seated after us had already received and finished their appetizers.

We canceled the soup that wasn’t available and still had to wait another 15 minutes for the rest of the appetizers. By then, we had been sitting for over an hour without even bread or chips to hold us over. After appetizers, it was another 35-minute wait for the entrées.

The food was nothing special. My friend’s “double order” of lobster tails looked more like shrimp in size. My husband’s salmon was burnt and dry. When we pointed this out, the waitress did apologize and offered to exchange it, but realistically it would have been another 40-minute wait—and we weren’t willing to lose our entire evening.

Even if the food had been great, the atmosphere left much to be desired. While it’s technically by the water, the views are of a parking lot on one side and trash bins, gas tanks, and fishing gear on the other. Hardly the relaxing, seaside vibe we expected.

The only highlight? The French fries were good.

We were genuinely excited to try this place, but left disappointed on every front—service, food, and ambience. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

I’ve been here several times but today I had to take off at least one star. After waiting 45 to be seated the food not only took forever to come out but the worst part was the waitress could not accommodate my kids food preferences. They wanted butter instead of sauce on their pasta and she said she absolutely couldn’t do it. Unheard of! Our food was bland and my lobster bisque was lumpy and had shells in it. I didn’t even bother complaining. Definitely won’t be back!

Bartender and server were great, first and foremost. Food was mediocre. Hostess was rude. Spent $400 on dinner, then had a drink at the bar with elderly parents. No room whatsoever, very busy. Hostess kicked out elderly from bar top (still spending cash, mind you), and says give the table room. Simply asked, “where would you like us to go?” Her reply “sir I’m not arguing with you” when there was no argument. We all understand the rotation of the restaurant, but it was absolutely pouring out and the delivery of the hostess made us all feel uncomfortable- could have been a little more apathetic. This is the second time we have experienced this kind of service, and the fourth time I have heard about it. We will never dine there again. So sorry to say.

I’m going half stars. Got soup (lobster bisque) three times. First two times it was Delicious. After the first one I was hooked. But by visit 3 I had no chunks of lobster. I was so disappointed. I got it for lunch and absolutely raved about it but was so disappointed when I wanted it the most. The lobster ravioli is also very delicious had it once waiting for it to come back again. But I am nervous to get the big soup again as I felt slighted after having not one lobster chunk. Idk who served it I went once but my husband usually drives 40+ mins to pick it up for me. Hopefully the next visit we can give 5 stars as I know they’re capable or producing an Amazing lobster bisque soup.

So the service was good the people were very friendly and helpful, the food was not good, we got the shrimp tacos and the blackened fish tacos it was like eating a soup tacos because of The excessive amount of liquid and very bland, I will say that all the fish and shrimp were very fresh and cooked perfectly, this isn’t a bad review it just was not really the best in town .

I was surprised by the mini size of the lobster roll. It was fresh and okay, but teensy. Clam chowder was bland and watery. The service was quick and courteous.

I first tried their lobster roll at a recent seafood festival in Belmar, and I was blown away instantly. I had to make sure that I made this place one of my first stops during my little Jersey Shore getaway this past weekend.

This place is a seafood market and restaurant. The restaurant part is a bit small with limited seating. They have a good-sized menu and food here is a bit costly, but it is so worth it. I got the lobster roll with fries, and everything was fantastic. The fries alone had great flavor and a real kick to them. The hot lobster roll was just as great as the one I had a week before.

The staff here is really nice, the service is quick and the establishment is clean. The only thing is that they don't serve alcohol.

I definitely recommend as I rate their lobster roll as the best in the Jersey Shore!

One of the more authentic dock side eaterys in the area. Lobster roll to go after a day on the water is bliss.
