The food is good, when they serve it. Yesterday, we ordered a chicken sandwich around 11am, to be told that they were not yet serving lunch (so we pivoted to breakfast sandwiches). However, the party behind us placed the same chicken order, and it was honored. Today, same time, much less busier than the 4th of July, we try the take out line again for breakfast sandwiches, to be told they are not serving any food until “probably lunch,” but could not give a timeframe as to when that would be (the menu indicates 11:30, but the cashier would not commit to that).

A GREAT! place for breakfast or lunch right on the boardwalk. Thursday nights there is a special dinner menu, music, and you can watch the weekly fireworks.
The staff is great. The Food Shack has a real hometown feel.

The Food Shack is an amazing place with a warm, family-style vibe. The staff is absolutely fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The food? Incredible. Everything is freshly cooked and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality and care in every dish. Highly recommend!

I discovered this charming little spot on Instagram, and since I was staying in the area, I figured I would check them out. I have visited Point Pleasant so many times in the past 10+ years, and it amazes me that I have never heard of this place before....and I am kicking myself for not coming here sooner.

This place and everything about it is totally awesome. The service I have received from the young waitstaff was kind, courteous, and attentive, and the food here is great. Word to the wise..they open at 7:30am so I suggest if you want a table for either inside or out, you need to get here as early as possible as tables go super fast. For the three days I was in Point Pleasant, I made it a point to arrive prior to them opening.

For being a small place they have a good size menu and the prices are very reasonable. They also have a cute little shop with good gift ideas and changing stations.

This is one of the best eateries in the area, and I will definitely come back the next time I am in Point Pleasant.

Couldn't eat too..long of a wait ,I think waitress & boss boys should be more tentative to service,I know it's Jersey Shore everything is clotted specifically now,lived in the area for 35 yrs.the location is excellent!!! Maybe more care & efficiency,the outcome will be fenomenal

Absolutely love the food shack. It was a go to for a long time when they had their last location for a quick bite before hopping on the boat but the new location is a lot more comfortable, a perfect way to start the day with the little one - grab a great breakfast then hit the boardwalk. Everyone there is wonderful too, and the food is always amazing

A diamond in the ruff. Recently moved to Point Pleasant beach, NJ , and found this little place at the south end of the boardwalk as I was doing my walk.
What a gem, Gail who I believe is the owner told me they had the best pumpkin patches.
OMG, the best ever!
Michelle our waitress was personal and very friendly, No matter what your morning breakfast requires, they have it all right there.
A must visit, they close the doors for the winter October 27th.
If not, put it on your radar for next summer!

We had 6 meals over 4 days here & they all were great! Great customer service & extremely friendly! Lobster grilled cheese, buffalo chicken wrap, and breakfast sandwiches were all great! We’ll definitely be back for more next time we are in town!
