Everything was excellent!! We really enjoyed it all. I had the meatball app and scallops both delicious. My husband had the special Chilean sea bass and Thai mussels. Our friends had the beet salad and fluke and one of the pastas. No one had leftovers—it was gone! We are too quick for photos sorry! We’ll definitely be back ?

We had high hopes to check out a local “farm to table” restaurant, but were somewhat disappointed. The problem isn’t the service at all. We were greeted warmly at the hostess table and our server Lex was great. The issues lie in the kitchen. We started with burrata. While the burrata itself was delicious, we were given one small piece of what was called “grilled bread” on the menu. This isn’t enough to enjoy the burrata, plus it wasn’t grilled. It was actually cold. For $23, we expected more.I had the Wagyu steak sandwich, which was overcooked. The ciabatta was mushy, could use more of a toast. If the horseradish aioli were not on it, the steak would be bland. It comes with fries, but if you’re going to brand as a “farm to table”, you can’t serve frozen out of the bag fries from a supplier. These were the kind of fries you’d get at a pub.My wife had the short rib. This was good, but there was barely any puree and it was overloaded with leeks. We would be willing to give this restaurant a second chance if the prices weren’t as high and it’s just not worth taking another gamble for middle of the road entrees. We hope to see these reviews improve the quality as I wish the best of luck in sorting it out in the near future.

Service was Excellent! The problem lies in the Kitchen. When you’re charging $35-$65 entrees they better be excellent. Unfortunately the meals were mediocre.

Amazing food and service. Would recommend to anyone! Drove an hour to get this spicy rigatoni and it was worth every second! Add the chicken cutlet, thank me later. BYOB!!

My wife and I and some very dear friends had the pleasure of enjoying an amazing dinner at Catharines Resturant last week. The food was remarkable and the service was second to none. Catharines is our NEW FAVORITE resturant in Point Pleasant! We traveled from Colts Neck and boy was the trip worth it!If you are looking for a great restaurant to try, this is the place!Frank Esposito

Very lovely set up in a old home. Staff was fantastic. I had a filet that was perfectly cooked but their mashed potatoes stole the show. Yum! BYOB can't go wrong.

With a 6:30pm reservation we were not seated until 7:00pm The restaurant needs sound dampers ... it looks like the old Captain Ed's with new tables and chairs squeezed in to use every square inch. Appetizers were mediocre, but passable. The entrees were small and the Short Ribs were so tough they couldn't be cut -after being described as fall off the bone good. The Halibut was over cooked and the pasta entree was just ok. Will probably not go back. No value for your $$ .

One of our four dinners was delivered to the wrong table and it took a while for the replacement. No acknowledgement from management.

Amazing food, however if you choose to have a party or event there, know their communication skills lack and cause a bunch of issues. The night before our event, the head chef texts us how he can not add in an appetiser simply because we chose a hectic weekend without any prior heads up. They expected the two little kids to only want chicken fingers- which was never talked about and up charged us 35$ for a full meal for the kids to split. Not to mention all ready having to change one of our appetisers days before due to convenience of the kitchen (which I could understand, but after how the night went I am let down). All we heard was "no problem" yet last minute were told about all the problems... luckily they didn't ruin our night, but for an owner who has been in the food business for multiple decades, you'd think he would express concerns upfront and order the food for the hand picked menu ahead of time. But I will say their food is good for anyone who won't be dealing with them one on one.

Very nice experience for a birthday date nite dinner . Cute farm to table waitresses were prompt and attentive . We started off with the w meatball app and the bacon app . Both were heavenly and tasty . Hubby had the dry aged steak and I had the coco pasta bolognese both very good , steak was ordered med rare and it came out perfect . Very cute for a special occasion or date nite . Will have to try in the nice Jersey shore weather . Nice that they use locally sourced vendors . Can't wait to see summer menu

Res for four 6pm Saturday Waited 5 min to be seated (good start) Staff is friendly BYO and we did Apps Meatballs - 2 medium size in the order - Some of the best meatballs I have had out. Bacon was tasty Entrees Halibut was good not great (for $50 expected more) Shrimp pasta was good squid ink was interesting. 2 of us got Chicken parm, was good not great One came out with BURNT edges You can't tell me the chef did not see that! For $35 do a better job checking dish quality before serving Decent food just not worth the $$$

This is a very good restaurant. It happens to be in an area that doesn’t have many good restaurants so I expect it to do incredibly well! The decor is new, muted grey - nice enough but the lighting isn’t right. The overall lighting is quite dim but the bare light bulbs are way too harsh - I had to move seat so that I wasn’t blinded when I looked up from my plate. It is quite loud although the tables are a good size they are quite packed in.The server was absolutely charming and we felt very well taken care of.We had some memorable dishes -the burrata was exceptional as were the crispy Brussels sprouts and the bucatini cacio pepe. For the entrees the short rib was remarkable - not just the melt-in-your-mouth meat but the leek and potato accompaniment was one of the best things I had all night. The pork chop was good but not great - cooked really well, juicy , but there was way too much sweetness going on on that plate and it was on everything - the pork, broccoli and sweet potato. There were 2 things that were not great (everything else was good, great or exceptional). The steak was perfectly cooked but for a dry aged steak it was tasteless - did they forget to salt it? Was it a bad piece of meat from their supplier? The crust on the lemon tart was rock hard and tasted of nothing.Overall we had a wonderful meal. Everyone really enjoyed the food with the couple of exceptions mentioned. We will be back.

6: Robert from the restaurant did the right thing. He called me, apologized, explained the problem with the reservation system, and offered to take care of my husband and me the next time we came it. We WILL be back! The food and the server were terrific.
