Half Moon Point Tavern & Grill

I’ve been coming here for years and can’t figure out what’s going on! Air conditioning doesn’t work, menu limited and owners don’t seem to care. Great place that they seem to be killing on purpose.

Nice upscale place for dinner. Not especially pricey. Patio on the side. They have an upstairs and a downstairs. But most importantly the food is delicious. I had the scallops, they were extremely tender and well cleaned. No Sandy taste. Nice bar area. Very clean and fresh!

TERRIBLE SERVICE.
I had high hopes for this restaurant after hearing glowing recommendations from several friends—but the reality was shockingly disappointing from beginning to end.

We came as a family, spanning ages 10 to 79, to celebrate my daughter’s 10th birthday. We mentioned the occasion to our server, but apparently, their idea of celebration is to completely ignore their guests. We were left sitting with dirty dishes for far too long, had to repeatedly ask for water and drinks, and when our food finally arrived—cold—it was sloppily presented and utterly forgettable.

Not once did anyone acknowledge the poor service or offer an apology. It was as if our presence was a burden.

The only redeeming quality was the charming outdoor patio—but honestly, patios are a dime a dozen in this area. There’s no reason to return here when there are so many better-run restaurants nearby that actually value their guests.

Do yourself a favor: skip this place.

This was our 3rd time to Half Moon Point and once again it did not disappoint. Our server was knowledgeable, courteous with just the right amount of upbeat personality to help make our dining experience perfect. We had the Brussel sprouts for an appi- a definite must. My husband had the pork chop with is perfect each time he has had it there. I was torn between the fish & chips special, the shrimp tempura special or the scallops and ultimately went with the fish & chips. It was good but they didn't have tartar sauce. There was another sauce with the fish but I didn't care for it. Oh. My. Gosh!!! The chocolate bread pudding is an absolute must try-not your typical bread pudding but you WON'T be disappointed!

The food was good. The waitress is really work hard and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Everything was top notch! It was 5 of us celebrating Father's Day, and the service from Hunter was amazing, food was remarkable and fresh. I highly recommend half moon Point and I will be visiting again very soon.

I stopped in for dinner with a friend and had a seat at the bar! Our bartender was Jess and she was AMAZING!! She recommended that we try the flat iron steak and it was fantastic!!

We also got a caesar salad and the s’mores martini! Jess made the BESTTTTTTT martini i’ve ever had!! My friend had a dirty martini with blue cheese olives and she said it was top tier!!!

Vibes were up! Music was great! 10/10 would recommend!! We will be back for sure!!

Food was good, service ok at 6pm on a Saturday. Drinks and appetizers arrived in moderate time, but entrees did not arrive for quite some time. Staff was pleasant and helpful but obviously very busy although the restaurant was not. Noise level upstairs was high and made conversation difficult.

Had a wonderful dinner outside, cocktails and burgers were great. Our waitress Tina was outstanding, very friendly, and on top of anything we needed.

We had a waiter and his name was Hunter. He went above and beyond to make everything perfect. He is very professional, very knowledgeable and smiles, which is so crucial for Customer Service. He was a stellar person. Overall the food was great as usual. The brussels sprouts app was off the chain! Bring back the fig wasp martini on your menu please.

Food and service very good. I'd go again Service good. I just wish you didn't have to pay for salad

All our dishes were delicious! Firecracker shrimp, chicken dumplings, pork & seared tuna!!! The service from the hostess to bartender to waitress was incredible. Never seen a staff that happy!!

Everything was perfect except for the noise level. The food was fabulous and prices were reasonable. The service was also excellent- Sarah took great care of us. It just was so loud!

Good food and close to the beach on Bridge Ave in Point Pleasant. Cocktails & wine available. Allergies are handled seriously.
