It was my first time ever ordering from rook to see what the hype is about. I order 1-2 coffees a day usually from Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks because I work full
Time and am going to school part time for engineering. I ordered the wrong coffee on line because their naming system online is a little deceiving. I paid for a 10% tip prior to picking up the coffee. The coffee was supposed to be ready in 15 months and I showed up in 5 min. When I walked in I told them that I ordered the wrong item and my was my first time there and the lady at the register rudely responded, “well your coffee is already made so we can’t refund it.” I didn’t even ask for a refund at that point, I just told her that I ordered the wrong coffee. I could tell with that response that she simply just didn’t want to make another coffee because it seemed like an inconvenience.
That being said, I will never inconvenience the point pleasant room coffee nor any other rook coffee with an order again. That is the first and last time I give them my daily double coffee order. Thank you for your horrible hospitality rook; you lost a customer before you even had one 👎🏻😉

I really enjoy the coffee here and SOME of the staff.. there is one particular girl who works at the point pleasant boro location on bridge ave (she’s tatted everywhere with black hair) who comes off a little rude.. my aunt goes in there almost everyday to buy the same coffee and when she walks in, and the tatted girl sees her, it’s almost like she gets ignored on purpose. She will jump right to the next customer that walks in and asked if she can be helped. She does this quite often. I know this now because I wanted to see it for myself so I “pretended” to be a new customer. I let my aunt walk in first as she’s standing there waiting, the tatted girl immediately focuses her attention towards me and then another two customers while my aunt is just standing there waiting. A man says “excuse me miss I think she was next” (and points to my aunt) not sure what her issue is.. but if you can’t say good morning, have a nice day, or overall pretend to like your job, why are you even working there?? And if she’s some sort of manager or owner, she needs to be learn customer service manners.

Stopped by for the seasonal pumpkin cold brew - it was perfection! I ordered ahead on the app and my coffee was ready as soon as I walked in. Shop was easily accessible and clean. Big Rook fan and cannot recommend enough.

Food rating is for their coffee only. They definitely need to carry more pastries as they run out too early. Better alternative to Starbucks. They depend on coffee characteristics rather than high calorie additives. Biggest seller seems to be iced. No cappuccinos just high quality coffee.
