We sat and waited, kept waiting. Foursome sat behind us and was immediately served. Still waiting. Not even drinks. Teenagers that run the outside are standing five feet from us but somehow we are invisible. I said to my wife, “Let’s wait five more minutes.” While we waited, we were ordering food from another restaurant; surreal. We left without even having someone ask us about drinks or specials, horrible service and we live within walking distance.

We got takeout for a group of 14. They were so appreciative of us as customers, got everyone’s order correct, made sure we had any extras we needed since we were taking it to go and the food was so yummy! We have made this a must-go spot during our annual vacation. Thank you Shore Fresh!

I visited Shore Fresh yesterday 5/11/25 to have Mother’s Day dinner. We usually frequent this restaurant a few times a year but the past few times we’ve noticed a decline. However, we know that everyone has bad days and decided to give it another go. We ordered the crab cake sandwich and the lobster tail dinner with pasta & a side of broccoli cooked extra soft as we had an infant with us that would be eating the vegetable. We then waited about 45 minutes for our meals with our waitress no where in sight. When we received our food the first thing we noticed was a crab cake plopped right on top of the tail instead of it being a crab meat stuffed tail as stated on the menu and let me not forget to mention that the lobster tail was overcooked to the point it was rubbery! The pasta was cooked al dente and the broccoli was hard. When our waitress finally came back to check on us, we expressed our concerns and she told us she would be right back. She then sent Tom over who is an alleged manager. We expressed our concerns to Tom who only offered new broccoli and pasta. Nothing in regard to the lobster. He stated he would give us a “discount” and left our table shortly after. When we received our check we noticed that there was only 10% taken off of the check which essentially only was the broccoli. I brought the check back to his attention and asked why the lobster wasn’t discounted too being that it was almost inedible. After some going back and forth he took the broccoli off the bill completely and applied the 10% towards the lobster and dropped our bill on our table with a disgraceful attitude. As he walked away I asked him who his manager is and he stated he is the manager, that there is no one above him. Hard to believe he’s running the whole show by himself considering he looks like he should be partying in a frat basement - but, maybe that’s why his business is so poorly run. From there we left the establishment and as we were putting my infant daughter in the car, he stood adjacent to us, staring at us and laughing. As a family who has been in the restaurant industry for years, we would’ve been mortified if a customer ever had an experience like this and would do whatever to ensure they got the meal they wanted ESPECIALLY on Mothers Day. The slow service, bad food and distasteful attitude from Tom “the manager” isn’t worth it. Save your time, tastebuds, money & find another seafood place along the shore that takes pride in their food and customer service.

Such a down to earth, relaxing atmosphere and super fresh seafood. I always get the crackers as an appetizer, and then the entree is the hard part. The stuffed shrimp are one of my favorites though since they are made differently then any other place I have been. My boyfriend enjoys their fish and chips and pasta specials.

Best fresh seafood. Whenever I visit i buy fresh scallops (among other things) from the seafood counter. Absolutely the best. Can't say enough about how fresh everything there is.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shore Fresh Seafood Market & Restaurant, located on Bridge Avenue in Point Pleasant, provides a relaxed, casual atmosphere perfect for seafood lovers. When we stopped by for a meal, the fresh market vibe was inviting, and I was eager to try a few of their popular offerings.

I ordered the Broiled Seafood Combo, which came with a choice of broiled or fried seafood. The platter featured shrimp, scallops, flounder, a mini crab cake, and whole clams, providing a nice mix of options. While the seafood was fresh, the overall flavors didn’t quite live up to the hype. The shrimp and scallops were cooked well, but the mini crab cake was a bit lackluster. The flounder, however, was prepared nicely and definitely a highlight of the dish.

On the side, I opted for French fries, but this was where things fell short. Even though I asked for them to be cooked a bit longer, they came out undercooked and lacked the crisp texture I was expecting. The crab cake sandwich we tried was average as well—decent, but nothing that stood out.

On a more positive note, the Lobster Bisque was a pleasant surprise. It had a nice, rich flavor with a good amount of lobster in it, making it one of the more enjoyable parts of the meal. I’d definitely recommend giving that a try if you visit.

The real star of our experience, though, was the service. Our server was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and great with the kids. They checked in on us often and made sure we had everything we needed, which made the meal more enjoyable despite the inconsistencies with the food.

Overall, while the food had its ups and downs, the excellent service and fresh seafood make Shore Fresh worth a visit. The Lobster Bisque was a highlight, and with a bit of improvement on some dishes (especially those fries), it has the potential to be a standout seafood spot in Point Pleasant. I would consider coming back again for another visit.

This is the second time in last week or so that I had come in to pick up dinner. Both times the same young men were working Zach, Harrison, and Bennett are very professional, helpful and kind. They were informative and answered my questions without hesitation.
The food was great, the New England Clam Chowder was delicious and the environment is clean and adorable.
