Went today, worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Dough wasn’t even cooked all the way. Cheese was garbage. A raccoon wouldn’t even eat it out of the garbage. I do not recommend unless you want to throw out a whole inedible pie.

This place is horrible. Our two most recent visits were ridiculous. Tonight the pizza was ice cold, sooo much cheese and the crust was barely cooked. We had to put it in our own oven at home, therefore cooking even though that’s exactly what we were trying to avoid. We ate half and threw the rest out because it sucked. The Cesar salad was slathered in dressing. We could have drank the salad it was so covered in dressing. We tossed it right in the garbage. Not to mention the last time we went here, no one was “able to” ring up our order. We had to wait for the delivery guy to return because the guy behind the counter couldn’t use the cash register. 🙃 this place is a shot show on all fronts. Avoid at all costs. We live in North Jersey, there’s no need to suffer with this level of “pizza”.

Burnt Zeppoles, not sure what happened to the fried zucchini sticks and Eggplant parm hero has three slices of eggplant, some unmelted pizza cheese thrown on and definitely not the same bread. New owner/management tried to tell me they haven’t changed anything. Gave them two chances, definitely won’t be back. Family in town also received inedible burnt pizza, they also won’t be back.

I’m not sure if it’s under new management and/or was sold, but it’s not the same. It wasn’t bad, but definitely not the same food quality as when it was under the previous family. I recently ordered chicken francese, and there was a puddle of oil on the bottom and had a different “taste” to it. They also removed themselves from UberEats. This seems like a classic scenario of someone buying out an established restaurant and trying to cut costs to maximize profits.

Not the same food.. huge disappointment tonight. Seasoned fries just had salt & pepper and the to go container was super small for the price. The chicken cutlet sandwich was terrible and used to be my favorite. Pickled onions were hardly pickled, and the garlic aioli apparently means chunks of garlic, it was terrible. The cheesesteak had NO taste at all, so so bland. Also found an herb stick in the chicken cutlet sandwich.. I will not be a returning customer.

I've lived in the Bloomingdale area for 4 years and have tried many of the area's local "favorite" pizza places and have found each one to be a let down in some way or another. Crust, quality, flavor, menu variety, online ordering/delivery... I continued to search for a place that could nail everything I value in a pizza place.

Tried Hoboken's on a whim, the pizza was delivered hot and fresh, and i could tell from the first bite that I finally found a pizza place in the area that knew how to bake a good pizza crust. It's crispy and chewy with that perfect amount of "tear" that makes a good crust. It wasn't too bready or cakey, and the toppings weren't piled on so thick that it would flop under the weight in a soggy mess when lifted.

The menu variety in their specialty pizzas is great, you have the staples like Neapolitan, four cheese, spinach artichoke, buffalo, and barbecue chicken, but then they have stuff you don't really find on the menus of nearby places. Prosciutto E Funghi, Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Francese, the Hoboken with sausage and besciamella cheese sauce, the Waterfront with meatball and ricotta. They even class up some of the common ones, like using gorgonzola for the buffalo chicken pie, or huli huli sauce on the hawaiian.

My one suggestion would be to add the option of "side of cheese sauce" to your online menu. It's delicious and tastes great with fries, dipping your crusts, and drizzled on top of many of your pies, but you have to call to order it.

If you want to try something truly different, order the Rocco specialty pie (the one with chicken fingers, french fries, and sweet and sour sauce) and a side of cheese sauce to drizzle over the top. I know it sounds disgusting, and it is, but the sweet and crunchy flavor combos incredibly well with the creamy, salty flavor of the cheese sauce. You won't find another pizza place around that has anything close to this on their menu.

*AVOID - NEW OWNERS*

New management took over and this place is hot garbage now. Ordered a shrimp fra diavalo pie for $26. 80 minutes later what showed up was a plain pizza with burnt fried shrimp on it and sprinkled chili flakes. We ordered this same pie a couple months ago and it was completely different.

I called the restaurant to ask what happened and the girl at the counter (who was very friendly and apologetic) got me the owner. I told the owner I want half off the pie, not even a full refund, and his response was. "I don't understand how I can give you money off the pizza when you HAVE the pie." I kid you not. I then said, "alright send your guy back and take the pizza back, that was the worst answer I've ever heard." Then he hung up on me. I called him back and he told me I was rude to him and yelled at him.

Don't buy a business if you're incapable of running it. Good luck with your pizza shop bud. Spend your money across the street at V&Js, those guys never miss. If only they delivered.

UPDATE: The owner replied so I figure I'd update my review with a reply back.

You can keep your free pizza lmao.

Let me start out by saying that this place was good - really good - until maybe a month ago. One day I walked in and recognized nobody. The really nice family that was always there - gone. New people are nice (don't get me wrong) but it was a shock. I just thought it was new staff during the week or something, but the food changed to. The Chicken Giambotta sandwich, to die for until then, was now soggy and not nearly as carefully crafted. The Grampy's Chicken Parm sandwich, soggy bread, overcooked chicken and barely any sauce. Was it a fluke? Nope - same order again a week later - same thing. Then I realized what happened...the Russo's sold the place and the new folks got the recipes but just don't have them down... I hope they improve and do well (they are nice people) - Right now though, it's just not good.
