I don't know why they think that they are serving a bagel it was the most terrible bagel I have ever had -we each took a bite and threw them out. The people were lovely so I feel bad saying food was terrible but it really truly was. Epically bad.

Hire someone that knows how to make a bagel. Bagel was tasteless, hard, almost a stale like consistency, and no butter. A buttered bagel should have butter on it. Not even edible. Threw it away. Should have known there were new owners when I walked in. Place was filthy!

KC Bagels really fell short of expectations. They are usually so good. But today the bagels were dry, dense, and lacked the signature chew you expect from a well-made bagel. It seems they weren’t properly proofed and were likely boiled too briefly if at all resulting in a dull, matte crust instead of that classic glossy finish.
The flavor was just as disappointing: bland and one-dimensional, with none of the depth that makes a bagel stand out. Several lacked a proper center hole and had an uneven, sloppy shape. Overall, they felt rushed and poorly executed. If you’re craving a real bagel, this isn’t it.

Went there this am at 6:45 for a bagel with Lox. Got to my office to see that only 1 piece of lox on bagel. For 12. 50 cash (12.98 if pay by card). Definitely not worth the price as other local bagel shops give a better sandwich and for less. Also place was dirty. Only stopped there for convenience on highway but will try other places. Save your money and skip this place.

Grew up in this area came here all the time best bagel around NOT ANY MORE the bagels are inedible had a bagel cream cheese and throughhalf away
My 1st/2nd stop when I'm "back east" / "back home" depending on the time of day. You can't get bagels like this in the deep south, or most anywhere in the US outside the NE. If you haven't had a NY bagel, they're unbelievable. Soft inside with almost chewy outside, absolutely delicious with butter, or as a sandwich. Don't buy too many. The real price of eating old-world bakery fresh breads is: they don't last. They might be somewhat edible the next day, but they're like doughnuts that way: a 1-day life expectancy.

Overcharged me and was talking about me in spanish thinking that I didn’t understand what she was saying because I only spoke to her in english. Don’t be deceived thinking that any skin tone in general can determine whether or not somebody understands your language. Also I do deliveries and they have seen me in their restaurant picking up for deliveries so they know me from doing that and they told me that they remember me from doing deliveries and that they would give me a bad review on my delivery account when I come pick up again if I gave their store a bad review.

It's disrespectful that they call themselves "Express" and I have to wait 15 minutes for a simple bagel. The WORST Customer Service in all NJ HANDS DOWN!! You should take care of ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS and not take MORE than 5 minutes with one to try to be "nice."
