We visited for dinner on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend so it was busy (as was all of Princeton). However, the grin of house service was great … friendly and efficient and although lots of people jostling near the door we were pleasantly greeted and shown to our table. Our waitress was lovely and looked after us very well (Helen I think). The food was delicious and a nicely diverse menu. Nice selection of wines (quite expensive). Definitely worth a visit. Best to book. Oh, and it can get quite loud so if you want a slightly quieter surrounding, downstairs might be better.
A great experience to be had. I would put this in my "artistic cuisine" selection pool. Plan to spend a leisurely time for dining here to enjoy the tastes and visual experience. This is not a cheap eats kind of place so if that's your interest, you can find more compatible eateries nearby. We stopped here for lunch on a Thursday and the place was busy but not completely full. Upon arrival, we were asked whether we had a reservation, which we did not. We did get a table though, so that was fortunate. The portion sizes were good, the presentation was beautiful, ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. My wife and I shared a starter, flatbread, and an entree and even then took a portion of the entree with us. We each tried one of their esoteric cocktails and will rate them 10/10. They were fantastic. It would take no effort to convince us to eat here again. Highly recommend!
Great place, $$$ little pricey, but worth it
It’s a decent brunch spot in Princeton. The restaurant is huge and nicely designed - gives New American farm to table brunch vibes. The food itself was just okay - there were some hits (margherita flatbread and cinnamon bun) but I wasn’t super impressed by pictures of entrees I saw so I just had tuna tartare for my main (which was bland) and the clam chowder also had basically no clams in it.
They have a great setup here (particularly given most restaurants in Princeton are tiny and can’t handle large crowds) and it’s clearly pretty popular, but they need to clean up the dishes a bit and hone in on the New American vibe and get rid of the French influence (apparently this used to be a French fine dining restaurant?). Like look at pictures of some of the basic entrees (i.e., the egg sandwich, which in reality is a croissant sandwich with a side salad??) and tell me they don’t look unappetizing.

Worst meal, we had the short rib brunch. It was fatty, greasy and the egg was cold. We let the hostess know and she said thank you for your feedback. Never again.

Food was fine but I must share disappointing customer service experience I had. My glass of wine I ordered with dinner arrived as the plates were being cleared. Our plan was to run over to Bent spoon for ice cream and when I paid the $300 bill on my card I asked for change for $2 in cash to feed the meter. After questioning me on whether the meters took coins and then questioning me on how long Princeton meters billed, a gentleman returned and awkwardly bowed and handed me the 2 dollars back with no explanation and an awkward smile. Apparently my simple request involved them stooping below their acceptable level of customer service.
My server was awesome and told me that the duck confit flatbread was amazing, and it was. Great lunch spot, or just spot in general. A bit pricey but you can find menu items under 20 pretty easily. Great drinks, too. And free WiFi helps...
Update: returned again, have been many times and im always impressed. Brought my parents and sister this time and everyone loved their food. So good!!

Food and atmosphere were phenomenal. Chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious! The salmon was also perfect.
I don’t usually like to complain about service because the service industry itself is very hard … but our service here wasn’t great. Our server spilled water on the table while filling out glasses without offering to clean up (we had to use our own napkins to wipe off the table). We were shocked when no one came around to ask how were during off peak hours. I understand it might have been just one unlucky circumstance, but it was very off putting.

Outside of crazy parking in Princeton, this place is a good find. It is spacious, clean, and local sourced high quality food. Definitely give it a shot.

Avoid. The service was extremely poor: they delivered the wrong item to our table multiple times and were extremely slow to (a) take our order and (b) deliver the food. My steak was cold and bland ($50 steak!).

Being from the area, I’ve been here on numerous occasions & have unfortunately been consistently disappointed by the quality of food. Wait staff is pretty inattentive & slow; was trying to get their attention for a while. The dishes try to be fresh & fun combinations of flavors but time & again flop. For instance, the hummus was not at all that, the pickled vegetables were like drinking vinegar, & the only decent part was the bread. I think this is officially the last time I will go here.

Food was very good, service was very bad. The waitress was not friendly at all and acted like it was an inconvenience we were there.
