We sat in the dining room/bar side. We probably should have sat in the bar only side. Seemed more lively. Regardless, the dining area had live music which was great. Food was sub par. Of the 4 of us, 2 enjoyed our meals. Fish and chips were good. Burger seemed good. Steak looked, and allegedly was, subpar. Same for the chicken Caesar salad.
A Princeton classic. Bit of a university type bar. Good, classic bar grub but don't expect fine dining.
The bar, on the other hand is just what the doctor ordered. Good, compétant, nice bartenders as a rule. The beer selection is a kick up. The cocktails are aces and on budget. Classic destination on the alley. Go there meet someone for a drink and a bite.

Great lunch. The food is awsome here and reasonably priced. Great old tavern look and feel. Waitress was very polite and attentive. We’ve been coming here for many years. Always something new on the menu by the chef.
