They are the very best around! Never miss. Great for catering too. Get a slice, get a sandwich, a pie or a dinner, it's always great. I love the owners!
Ordered half a veal parm, it was so tough and tasted like perfume. Only ate a quarter of it and walked out. The place was mobbed and everyone seemed to be enjoying their pizza. Maybe I just happened to get the bad thing. I will try again one in the area but as for now not happy.

We had an excellent experience dining here! The food and service were both top-notch. The garlic knots and cheesy garlic bread were freshly baked, buttery, cheesy, and with just the right amount of garlic. The antipasto salad was well balanced and mighty tasty. I had the eggplant rollatini with thin sliced ham which added an extra burst of flavor. I tried my husband’s veal parm and my brother-in-law’s chicken parm as well, which were perfectly cooked and crispy.
For dessert, we shared freshly baked, oversized, fluffy Zeppolis with chocolate dipping sauce and cream. The cappuccinos were delightful as well.
But the best part was the service. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs and so friendly. We love Stacy! And when it was a little less busy, the owners came to greet us and welcome us to their establishment. We were very impressed with the decor and layout. We will definitely be returning!!!

28$ for 2 pepperoni slices and 1 buffalo chicken slice is madness. Days like this, I really value Costcos pizza even more

This restaurant is top-notch! From the buttery, garlic cheese bread, to the well-balanced, tasty antipasto, and of course, the entrées which were cooked crispy and light with a burst of flavor, this is definitely a stop to try! The service was also top-notch, very friendly and very attentive to us. I love the decor and cozy atmosphere. Plenty of parking too. You will not be disappointed!!!!!!

I just left this so called pizza place. By far the worst pizza in the state. Bbq chicken tasted like cardboard, plain slice undercooked. Mazz sticks seemed like something I would have gotten outta the microwave, if you’re a true pizza lover avoid like the plague!

This place is great. I get pizza here somewhat often, and it is always great. The staff are really nice, and the atmosphere is amazing. Glad to see smaller pizzerias like this are still around in this day and age!

Thank goodness for Alfonso’s for restoring our Friday night Pizza nights!
We recently moved to the Princeton area from Essex county. I’m sure most NJ foodies would agree that Essex county is filled with amazing Italian restaurants and pizza places.
We have tried 4 different pizza spots that were supposed to be among the best in the Princeton area. None satisfied. I came across Alfonso’s and the history suggested this place might be closer to what we were looking for. The pizza didn’t disappoint!
If our favorite pizza spots in Essex county were a 10/10, Alfonso’s comes in at a strong second with a 9/10. I actually think it’s comparable and probably the closest to authentic, Italian made pizza that you will find in the area.
I had pretty much given up on my Pizza quest, but now we have found our new favorite, local spot! Don’t hesitate to try! We got extra cheese on the whole pie and pepperoni (mushrooms on half).
See you again soon!

Until yesterday, my favorite pizzeria was the one by my house in Linden NJ. Pizza Village Cafe III. My best friend took me to Alfonso’s with my husband yesterday May 6, 2024. She’s a regular customer. Boy has she made a great recommendation! The spaghetti with mushrooms was excellent. My husband had a meatball sub. He loved it. The server was very attentive, talkative and very nice. Even the appetizer bread was fresh. I also had a salad that came with it. The prices were decent. The restaurant was no frills on the exterior but beautiful inside. The music I didn’t like as it was way before my time but was good quality for an Italian restaurant. My husband was on salt and fluid restriction due to heart failure. The salt content in William’s food was moderate and satisfactory. They measured his soda for me so I can record it. Definitely 5 stars! My new favorite! Heck it even beat the legendary Spirito’s of Elizabeth NJ! Looking forward to next time I visit my best friend. I’ll ask to return to Alfonso’s!
Delicious pizza, salad, and calamari! Family owned, and the Italian vibe is palpable, especially as you devour the homemade bread which is truly incredible!
