This place serves great food!In brief ; chicken lollipops, chilli shrimp, gongura chicken( if ya’ll like spicy then go for it) , parotta, and garlic naan is what we had on sunday. Some of them were very juicy and was mixed with a great spices. Just loved it! This is probably going to be my favorite spot in New Jersey. Will highly recommend ya’ll .
Most of the items in the restaurant taste mostly good even though oily. It’s pricey but if they can reduce the oil and salt, food is worthwhile here.
The spot is first-rate and roomy, the meals was yummy and the rates were very inexpensive. fast, efficient service and very affable staff. Will definitely recommend this spot.
I don’t wanna waste reader’s time. The only review that I wanna give is the below one.
Friendly atmosphere and amazing food
Our favorite local Indian food restaurant for lunch (2 others sampled). We enjoy their lunch menu, and being able to enjoy a beer or other selection from the bar with our food is a bonus. As the waiter cautions, food may be spicy hot -- so order mild or extra mild until you've experienced their degree of heat. We especially enjoy their lamb and their vegetarian options.
When we walked in, there wasn’t anyone at the reception or anyone guiding us to table. Starters were ok. Main course was bland. Kothu parota wasn’t cooked. Quality of food and service needs improvement.
AVOID ANJAPPAR. Anjappar Indian Bar & Grill is no longer a good restaurant to go with family and kids. My recent visit with the family including 2 kids to this place was very disappointing. We went for dinner by 5:30 which was not opened by that time, they opened at 6. As we got in, we saw the waiters were just washing their hands and getting ready slowly without having any concern towards the awaiting customers. Every entree was not of nominal price and an 18% tip was automatically added to my bill. When asked about it , the guy brought the menu card to show the fine prints and said it is already disclosed on the menu card and for this facility and locating they are incurring many expenditures! People should avoid such places for such an act of dishonesty.
The food is constantly well prepared and tasty, workers hands over great service. I like how neat it is and vibes. I highly recommend this spot.
Visited there for lunch today for the 3rd time in the past year. Food is consistently excellent and I love their variety of selections of regional flavors. They are often busy for lunch but I've never had to wait for a table .
Restaurantji Recommends
We had very good experience. We ordered crab masala, I was bit hesitant in the beginning to eat. But once I tasted it was really good. I made a mess while eating ?. At the end it was good trying out.
Amazing Crab Masala. so yummy and loaded with flavours. Right amount of spice and best part is you can eat with either parotta or rice. My personal recommendation would be parotta. Must visit place. Even their mutton chops is must try.
I was here earlier around the time they opened. The restaurant had a premium feel but I didn’t like the food at all in spite me being South Indian rating South Indian food.
Very good food. Good service. Spicy. Authentic south Indian. I can eat very spicy food. If you are not, ask for only one chilly level.
The food tastes Awesome at location "3499 US-1, Princeton, NJ 08540". You can blindly go and eat at this restaurant. Only catch is that the food at night/dinner is costly than lunch. Ex. The Veg Thali costs @12 at lunch and the same Veg Thali costs $16 at dinner
