The South Indian authenticity was missing.

Restaurant was completely empty except for one table occupied but the host offered us seat next to toilet. We felt it was because of our brown skin.

Friendly owner and staff. Some of the best Indian food I have tried in the area. Spice levels are somewhat inconsistent and the menu is somewhat limited in choices of protein for each dish. Overall positive experience and would plan to return.

They didn't give a table for us. They said they have no food even though it was one hour before closing time, they hung an open board, were giving takeaways and twenty plus people were eating inside.

We love the manager/owner who presides over the tables with a mix of friendle serviceand grumpy man. Food is great in a nice, casual atmosphere. We come her often

The food was surprisingly filling for such small portions and, for the taste you're getting, the price is not bad either (typically somewhere under $20 for an entree and rice). Service was alright and the ambience of the place make it perfect for a date night.Vegetarian options: There's a lot of them -- definitely some good items to, like the Paneer Butter Masala

This place is great. The had a couple rough years during the pandemic when the food took a dive for the worse but they seem to have their rhythm back. I really like ordering the whole tandoori chicken and splitting some veggie dishes. The curries they make really stand out compared to your traditional (northern) Indian place that most Americans are used to encountering. Try the Aloo Gobi

Even with a reservation, it took 30 minutes for us to be seated, and another 30 for someone to take our order. The food finally arrived, 90 minutes after our reservation time. This was on a Saturday night, but the wait time was ridiculous. We really only had an hour to eat before they abruptly turned up the lights at 10:00 to let us know it was time for us to leave. They were out of pakodas and dosa, so we ordered samosas, which were frozen in the middle. The other parties were so loud that we couldn't hear each other or the servers, and the family next to us was served before us even though we placed our order before they did. I've had better experiences at this place in the past, but even without the wait time issues, the staff have always been pushy and unfriendly. Much better service at other similar establishments in town.

Tried it again and definitely glad i came! Tried the manchurian dosa this time and it was absolutely amazing. They made it vegan for us which was awesome- super accommodating!! Samosas we're good but only came with 2 in the appetizer- not worth it for a group. Felt again that they had some low numbers of staff also it got very cold from a random draft inside the restaurant. Other than that, everything was good!!

AMAZING!!! Everything from the food, service, and hospitality was great. Stopped here during a road trip right before they closed up for the night and was spectacular. Highly recommend :)

I ordered Chana saag twice and both times I found a long hair in my food. I'mNot one to complain and I've worked in the restaurant industry for years but this seems unprofessional and unsanitary

Myself and my family had been to Chennai chimney . We all loved appetizers, tamater soup , Chole bhature. Briysani was not good (it was not like biryani taste , chicken was not cooked fully)

The best south Indian food we had.....never had such an authentic Chennai style food....we ordered filter coffee, lamb dosa, crispy dosa and Chilli lotus.....everything was mind blowing. Service was fast and staff was very very nice. After long, I found perfect place for South Indian food. It has become my fav place to go to.

Good food but small portions. Also they are always very visibly understaffed. Took like 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us at the dront. Vegan options were super tasty- Sweet corn soup was very tasty and tasted super fresh! Lotus root was so crispy and perfectly balanced sweet snd spicy. The veg pakora were very interesting ive never seen them made this way! Not sure if i’ll return because service was slow but definitely for takeout-yum!
