Let’s start with the best part: we love this bakery, this is our weekend spot for a small bite of the delicious baked goods that they serve, croissants are the best and the blueberry scones are from another world, so delicious! ….However….something happened recently with the sandwiches, we normally have the turkey Brie and the mushroom and vegetables but today were not good, taste wasn’t good, there weee execution mistakes, had to wait for them to make my sandwich again and when it came out it was just ingredients thrown in a bread and not even warmed up well; as a process oriented guy I could see inefficiencies in the operations amongst 6+ people who work at the shop, there’s a manager who is basically telling everyone what to do and how to do things right…he is saving the day….hopefully this review is taken care, you guys have all potential to be great, just fine tune your process, employees and products - especially sandwiches.

I’ve been here a few times and it has never disappointed. Not only are the pastries delicious, the atmosphere is incredible and that is all due to the staff! Very good service and everytime i’ve been the place has been nice and tidy. Clean and pretty environment and comfy. I definitely recommend coming here!!!
Food: overpriced and sloppy - the sandwiches I ordered were thrown together and not warm. The texture was off. The bread was soggy. The brie and ham sandwich was way too salty. I also ordered a few of their pastries. They looked delicious but we're overpriced and tasted quite average.
Service: The service was terrible. They lost my order and never made it. The cashier who took my order asked me if I was waiting for something after about 30 minutes of waiting. I wasn't even the one to initiate this -- I told her I was waiting for the sandwiches I ordered. The owner got involved. They showed me the receipt for an order that wasn't mine. Then there was a lot of back and forth between the owner, the person preparing the food, and the front of house employees. They ask for me receipt which I give them. They fiddle around on the computer. They finally find my order and the cook asks me what ingredients for in the sandwiches I ordered -_- I ordered a basic ham and brie that they have listed on their menu...I just couldn't understand what was happening. I didn't know if there may be an issue with the. Not having certain ingredients, so I asked the owner of everything was okay. He was so rude and I was taken back. I expressed not thinking I said anything wrong. Again, I wasn't even the one who approached them regarding my order. I was very patient and could not understand the anger and inconsideration coming from the owner/manager on duty.
Atmosphere: generic "French" aesthetic - instead of looking like a French bakery, it looked like it was dressed up in the costume of a French bakery. It was stereotypical.
Such a great local bakery. Have been here on multiple occasions both for a quick baked good and for cakes for special occasions. Would definitely recommend any of their carry out baked goods, like the croissants and macarons. Wouldn’t recommend the carrot cake though. Still a great place!

This is a lovely place to sit and have a cup of tea or coffee and some very outstanding, delicious, beautiful dessert. Recently my daughter purchased a cake from their display for our birthday. It was the most beautiful, delicious cake I ever ate. The people working there are very nice and helpful. I purchased a beautiful tea set with two cups. It was so nice that I asked the manager to order 2 of the same and he did. He called to let me know they are ready for pick up. This place is a gem. Don't miss it when you are in the lovely town of Princeton, NJ.
Parking: There is street parking available (Chez Alice is close to Rt 27 which is the main road that passes through the heart of Princeton.) and there is a parking garage if you want to park and enjoy the area for the afternoon.

Horrible staff... Didn't give me my 2 cappuccinos as part of a larger order... After complaining she gave me only one.... After complaining again she gave me a lukewarm one saying "enjoy" ... If you dont want to work leave and give your place to someone else who would like to work
