The show stealer here is definitely the chopped cheese fries. I ate them second, but I’m still reminiscing about that flavor. I also tried the original burger, which at first bite reminded me of a glorified Wendy’s Single. But I soon noticed the buttery bun and nicely cooked meat. The ketchup (or similar sauce) inside wasn’t quite to my liking, so I shifted focus to the fries.
Those fries are truly unique — packed with layers of flavor in every bite. I thoroughly enjoyed them. That said, $9+ for fries feels steep to me, but in this case, it was money well spent.
The total bill (before tip) was about $20 — take that as you will. The indoor decor is funky and modern, which I appreciated, but this isn’t a place designed for comfort or long sitting. During my visit, there was only one other table occupied — also eating fries but I have seen dashers picking up orders here so there is definitely a captive market.
Basic greasy burger. Fries are meh. Gave me indigestion.
Words can’t describe the joy this place brings me. Boy oh boy, I come here too often and it hits every time. Do recommend it
Through my searches for poutine in New jersey, I found this cantine and tried it. Okay new jersey interpretation of a poutine and will do if being hit with nostalgic canadian cravings: Turkey gravy may please NJ palates, however, a Quebec poutine has a Brown gravy richer in flavor.
The burgers were excellent! I ordered two, and both were put together really well, nothing over the top or falling apart, just solid flavorful burgers that held together perfectly. The service was great as well. It seems to get pretty busy at times so finding a seat can be a challenge, especially with the limited space. I also tried the fried Oreos, and they were really good. Definitely worth checking out!
After attending a Princeton basketball game, we were able to redeem a picture of the scoreboard for a free burger from Diesel & Duke. Although skepitcal at first, I got their bacon cheeseburger and it was very delicious. The burger was juicy and the bacon was crispy. This is definitely a great burger spot and will be coming back to try their other items.

Diesel and Duke at Princeton University
After a delightful biking adventure around Princeton University, we decided to grab a quick bite at Diesel and Duke. The experience was quite satisfying!
Food:
Kids Cheeseburger: Perfectly sized for the little ones, juicy and flavorful.
Double Chicken Smash: A hearty option with tender chicken, well-seasoned and cooked to perfection.
Double Duke Smash: A robust burger that packs a punch with its generous portions and delicious toppings.
Smokeshow: A smoky delight that lives up to its name, with a rich, savory taste.
Ambiance:
The place was clean and well-maintained, making for a pleasant dining environment.
The bathroom was also nice and clean, which is always a plus.
Overall, Diesel and Duke provided a great spot for a quick and tasty meal after our biking trip. Highly recommended for anyone in the Princeton area!

Overall I have to say that I’m a bit disappointed. I had never eaten a burger in the US before and wanted to try one, so we went to this restaurant. The employee was not the nicest but he was not rude and it was okay. The restaurant is very clean and looks like a small but fancy burger store. Diesel & Duke doesn’t have many offers but that’s fine, when their offers taste good. But unfortunately the burgers didn’t satisfy me. They were really salty but overall the burgers were eatable. The fries were tasty tho. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant but it was okay.

spent 14 dollars in a burger and fries, came extremely moist and soft, the meat tasted fake. it looked like the cook forgot to take it off the grill. the fries also tasted like their where cooked in rancid oil. The cashier was also rude and did not make eye contact. also even though their where only two people besides me and my friends it took them over 30 minutes the get our order out

Burger and chicken patties were miniscule and overpriced.
McDonald's burgers and chicken sandwich are bigger, tastier and half the price.
Won't set foot in there again!

Everything was freshly made and tasted so good, the customer service was on point making it a very good experience, I can't wait to eat here again. My only suggestion would be to place the menu in the front window like the one on the website and place the instagram handle on it so that passerbys can see they need to drop in and eat here.

Came in with the fam for some burgers and the place did not disappoint. I have give it to the cooks, the holypeno was amazing! It was cooked perfectly! The fresh hand cut fries are a must! The place is definitely family friendly, small but yet very spacious. Will definitely be coming back.
Parking: If it's the weekend it can get a bit complicated.
Kid-friendliness: There is seating available.
