We all love Elite Five for different reasons. I love it because they do a great job with my allergies and my children love it because they have so many delicious options and get what they want. We are picking up or dining in often!

They told me they could make a safe dish for my husband. It turns out, they couldn't.

I've eaten takeout from Elite Five many times over the years. My husband has a serious mushroom allergy, and I've always been very clear with them and it hasn't been a problem. Yesterday, I tried to place an order on the website and it crashed. I called in my order and told them about the allergy. I confirmed a second time at the end of the call. When my husband picked it up, he noticed that there was nothing on the receipt about his allergy. I called them again to confirm it was safe, and they assured me it was.

My husband spent the night vomitting. We ate the same amount of the same food, so it wasn't food poisoning (not that it would be better if it was), and I was fine. I called the manager today and he kept insisting that there were no mushrooms in the dishes we ordered. That isn't the standard for an allergy safe dish. It was likely cross contamination from a utensil or a work surface. His apologies were non-apologies. I no longer feel safe ordering food from here for my husband.

I strongly recommend that if you have a food allergy, you steer clear. They screwed up, refused to acknowledge it, and generally seemed unconcerned that they have a process issue.

Unacceptable. Never coming back.

I used to be a regular customer, but after two awful experiences, I’m done.

First, I ordered pasta through Uber Eats and found a piece of steel scrubber in my food. That’s not just disgusting — it’s dangerous. I reported it right away, but there was zero follow-up. No apology, no responsibility taken.

I tried to brush it off as a one-time slip and gave them another chance — big mistake. I chose this place for an important birthday celebration due to its location and completely regret it. The dine-in experience was a disaster. The waitress was rude and completely inattentive. I get that she was handling too many tables, but that’s not my problem. We were left waiting 20–30 minutes for food, and every time we needed something, we had to go find someone ourselves. With kids at the table, this was beyond frustrating.

This restaurant clearly doesn’t care about customer safety or experience. I’ll never spend another dollar here.

Elite Five in Princeton is a gem! The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and the atmosphere makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. What really sets this place apart is Tony, the owner—he takes the time to get to know his customers and always gives a warm welcome every time we come back. That personal touch makes every visit feel special. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and even better hospitality!

I’ve tried a lot of sashimi living in NYC. I moved here and this is my go to sashimi spot. Fish is so fresh and delicious. The servers are amazing too. You will not regret it.

Very mediocre and overpriced food. Sushi and sashimi is average, small portions, and feels amateurish. Yaki soba noodles made with store-bought spaghetti and braised beef overly sweet. Will not be back...

One of the best Japanese food places. Very under rated. Great presentation and superb taste. It was our 2nd visit.

Cost for 2 people was 122 with tax and tip, no alcohol.

Recently stopped in for lunch this past week with a friend, and I regret not going a lot sooner. The service was prompt and attentive, and I thought the soft music in the background added to the overall ambiance of the place. The food itself was beyond any sushi I've eaten before. It came beautifully presented and was excellently crafted. Their mashup of traditional sushi favorites, as well as more innovative rolls, creates a multiplicity of menu options to choose from (although my personal favorite is the Dancing Dragon entree). I can definitely see why Elite Five Sushi comes highly recommended as one of Princeton's best restaurants!
