Went to a party that was held in the upstairs dining room. The room itself was nice but service was honestly bad. There were maybe 40 of us and a set menu for everyone to choose from. The servers brought out 1-2 plates of appetizers at a time. So it was quite some time before everyone had their tacos/salads. Almost an hour later we got the main course, but the servers brought 2 plates out every 10 or so minutes. By the time i got my meal, the other end of the table already finished their food. The servers also werent sure who ordered which meal and there ended up being extra food at the end. The ficus burger said it would have a fried egg inside. But when we got it, there was no egg. We asked the server about it and they said "we didnt have time to add it" so everyone that ordered the burger, didnt get an egg. That response honestly shocked me because this party was booked in advance, why werent they more prepared. When it was time for dessert, the servers stood at the end of each table, and had everyone pass down the bowls of creme brulee as well as cups of coffee. There was room for them to walk around each table so not sure why they served the food that way. If you're planning to host a party here, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

my husband and I just moved to the Princeton area. We discovered this place via tiktok and wanted to check it out. the food was delicious. the truffle fries could've been a bit crispier, but the breakfast burger was everything! our waiter, Max, was super accommodating and sweet as well. he even let us in on his barista surprise which was also tasty. definitely recommend.

Great ambiance, wonderful service, short and to the point menu with a good variety, and half bottles of local wine. A great setup! We had the Korean Bolgogi tacos to start, and then the ribeye and salmon. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and so was the fatty and delicious ribeye.

We had dinner on the second floor. I saw wine listed on the menu and I didn't realize they didn't have hard liquor. My bad, but definitely something you should know. The server was nice, but didn't realize he had given us a menu that was no longer accurate and after we placed our order he had to come back with a different menu and we made other choices. Once the food arrived, though, we were quite satisfied. The fish special was yummy and the beef in the taco appetizers was melt in your mouth delicious. The shrimp chili dumplings were just ok, I wouldn't get those again. The sangria was pretty tasty and you get a decent amount in the pitcher for $34.00. Overall it was pleasant.

Ficus is located in its own little nook away from the main hustle and bustle on Nassau Street in Princeton. The interiors are quite cozy with artwork on display. I had been looking to try out their spicy chicken sandwich for quite some time after seeing some decent reviews for it, and a Yelp experience was just the impetus that got me to try it out. One of the ladies who rang me up (perhaps a co-owner?) even commented "you've heard about our spicy chicken sandwich?" which made me think I was in for a decent food experience. The spicy chicken sandwich took a good 10 minutes or so to prepare, as I saw a kitchen full of people hard at work preparing food for customers. I did visit in their final hour before closing on the weekend; they didn't bother asking if I wanted to dine in, and just assumed I wanted the sandwich to go, so it was served to me in a paper bag rather than on a plate. Still, it looked great when I took it out of the bag, with breaded chicken served on what looked to be a high quality focaccia bread along with red cabbage, kale, and chipotle aioli. Sadly, as I bit into it, I realized the 2 pieces of breaded chicken on the sandwich were over 90% breading. As I proceeded to eat, some bites didn't have any chicken at all, and it felt like you were just eating breading. It was really unappetizing, and I wound up throwing most of the sandwich out (and I rarely throw out food like that). While I didn't find the chipotle aioli all that spicy, all the other ingredients seemed good and had all the makings of a great sandwich if it weren't for the severe lack of chicken. I'm not sure if I caught them on an off day or if they're cutting corners on serving breaded chicken with mostly breading, but my first dining experience with Ficus was overall pretty disappointing.

Had a wonderful Mommy/Daughter brunch date with my not so little one! I love that parking is an option at Ficus... it is not plentiful, but is of great value in Princeton! We walked in on a Saturday at 12 pm... not many people at all, surprisingly. We opted to sit upstairs which was nice and cozy.. there is a rooftop that I'm sure gets lot of use during the warmer months. Johnny was out server and he was very friendly and professional. We ordered scrambled eggs, avocado toast, a hot matcha latte, and a mocktail called the Aloha. Everything was delicious and fresh! LOVED the avocado toast -- topped with confit tomato, balsamic glaze, and a poached egg.... it was just so good. I think it was the sourdough bread--I love sourdough. Matcha was perfectly balanced with the right amount of sweetness and milk. 10 out of 10. Can't wait to return on our next date!

Located at the corner of a street with outdoor seating. This cafe/restaurant is a great place to dine on a sunny day. Upon walking, we were greeted with a friendly face. The cafe menu has many great options but I just went with a matcha green tea latte. It came in a cute cup with the option of adding boba. The matcha flavor is deep and rich. Would definitely go back and try their other drinks and food items. The decor is very welcoming with both outdoor and indoor seating. There is also seating on a 2nd level.Overall, great place to go with friends or on a date.

The food was delicious and delightfully different. The staff's professionalism and kindness are outstanding. Their automation for any changes and payments are so easy.Vegetarian options: We had the orange/beet salad, eggplant sandwiches, and fresh fruit. All were so tasty and the dressing was extraordinary.

Service was fine, food was fine. Menu labels for gluten free which was great! The place was a little dirty, untidy, cluttered with messy storage and scratched peeling paint. Decorations still up from valentines a month after the event. Staff just stood around. Could benefit from a refresh or even a bit of a tidy up.

Food was awesome. Probably my fault for not reading fine print. But I saw sangria and assumed they served alcohol but they don't. All the drinks are non alcoholic drinks. I had to run across the street and buy wine. Love the taco appetizer and duck spring rolls.

I had a choice between à la carte or prix fixe menu when I made the reservation and I chose the former. When we were seated, we were told that it was only a prix fixe menu. Had I known, I would've made a reservation elsewhere. Very much disappointed. Food is subpar for the price.

We ordered 2 Filets, one medium rare and one medium. The first one was more medium than medium rare but still okay, the medium was basically well done, and when we sent it back to get re cooked it came out rare to medium rare. Just ridiculous they couldn't get the temperature of the steak correct. They took down my email but I haven't heard from them yet

Ficus on Nassau Street in Princeton. Food was really very good. My wife had scallops, I had the Korean beef burger. Spice, sauce, and sides on the burger really nicely done. Service was horrible. 6:30 pm arrival, waiter asked us if we had ordered yet at 7pm. Desperately trying to get our bill at 8:30. Too bad, nice space, good food, terrible execution.
