Food is good, most of the guys who cook and serve are friendly. Overall not a bad place to eat.

Awful. Awful. Expensive, boringly basic food, skimpy portions of not-very-high-end ingredients with no taste. The menu is almost comedically over-written to appear high-end gourmet - I guess it fools Metro management who bought into the flowery descriptions of what is essentially tuna/chicken salad/turkey-on-rye. I suppose if you pile your roll high with the cheap add-ons you don't notice the lack of meat - and the roast beef is suspiciously red BTW. Your $7.50 one-price sandwich is inclusive of low-end toppings - cheeses, mushrooms, pickles and chips - so if you don't want the chips, the cheese etc you are stuck with paying for it anyway. Add in a soda or soup and you're up to $10 daily bill or $200 per month on a crappy lunch. They do have some woeful, unappetizing- looking pizza cooked about 9AM which sits and sits and sits there with no one brave enough to order it. The "hot" meals and soups are downright terrible. If your office on Metro Blvd has a fridge and microwave, use them and stock up on frozen meals. These people need to hire a chef or at least taste the food they are serving.

Love it!!! Food is all fresh, always delicious. I have eaten all different types of food from this company, and all are delicious. I keep coming back for more. The owner is so friendly and easy to get along with. If you are in need of catering you NEED to call Gallery Cafe!!!

I had one of the most AMAZING experiences yesterday 5/26/2016 at Gallery Cafe. I had never eaten at Gallery Cafe so I was unaware their lunch ends at 2 pm. I showed up on my lunch break at 2:05 pm to a locked door, I knocked on the kitchen door to see if there was anywhere they could suggest me to go grab a quick bite to eat. A lovely lady name Viola told me to come on in so I didn't starve. She took the time out of her day to help me, which is very rare in this world. I can only hope that her kindness rubs off on others! Thank You again Viola!! Can't wait to go back!!

Gallery Café sits in the old Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Co., building. Where once state of the art toilets and shower/bath porcelain and ceramics were cast and distributed to the waiting world, adaptive reuse has given us the American Metro Center Office Complex, although the original red brick façade was maintained to suggest the historic significance of this once proud symbol of American industrial might (not to mention the patent on the modern water closet). I wandered in today after stopping to ask a few people exactly where it was. Signage from the outside is minimal, and even within the building the arrows pointing to the café are easily overlooked. But, it was worth the exploration and discovery, as the cafeteria is spacious with high ceilings, wall to wall windows, and clean prep and dispensing zones for hot and cold meals. Although I arrived too late for breakfast (stops at 10), the friendly manager took it upon herself to walk me over to the sandwich station and construct a Chicken Salad on Rye for me. She was generous in the number of ice cream scoops of salad she pressed onto the bread, and again with the lettuce requested for garnishing. It was too early for lunch, so I took the white wrap and Jalapeno Chips to my office for later consumption. It would have been helpful to be given a bag to put everything in, but apparently that is not part of the deal. At about $7 and change, I did not mind picking up the plastic fork and napkins on my way out the door, and putting them into my suit pocket. The sandwich was fine, if not exceptional. This place is really only designed for use by the workers in this office complex, and not for the general public. Don't bookmark it unless you enjoy searching for places that don't seem to want to be found.

Expensive prices. I paid $7.80 for a tuna fish sandwich. I guess you pay for the convenience of being able to walk here if you work in American Metro Center.

The Gallery Cafe just opened (on July 2nd) in the American Metro Center office complex (in the same location as the previous cafeteria). As such, they are still working through the newly-opened challenges/jitters/kinks and aren't yet a well-oiled machine. The workers are very nice and helpful, but you can tell that they are still trying to find their groove. They have a nice selection of food for different dietary lifestyles- gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, carnivores, etc. The food is separated into stations- hot entree of the day is in the same line as the pasta and pizza- and has its own register for checkout. The sandwiches and salads seem to be together. The soups are over by the soda machine (or so I found out today). What is really missing here is signs that direct you to the different stations/options. I personally stood gawking, looking for what I wanted (and noticed many others doing the same). By the stations, they do clearly display the daily special (as well as which dietary needs are met by the option), but there is no large sign that says "sandwiches" or "salad bar" or something of the like. As people get more used to the layout, this may become unnecessary, but for right now, the staff is spending a lot of time directing patrons. So far, I have tried a seasoned and grilled portobello sandwich (which was excellent- generously stuffed), a slice of Neapolitan pizza, and the (vegetarian) cream of broccoli soup. All were tasty and of much better quality than I am used to getting at a cafeteria, which may be because of the fact that all of their food is made from scratch on-site and also because they make an effort to use locally-sourced, in-season foods. This is a great place to go and eat lunch (at the outside picnic tables or inside round tables) if you work at the American Metro Center, regardless your dietary restrictions/choices.
