Is this place still open? It shows as "Temporarily Closed" and i have tried reaching the phone number many times in the last 2 weeks. Really want to try the yummy food that i have heard lots of rave reviews about. Appreciate if someone can confirm if they are still open and serving food.

We had lunch buffet on Mother’s Day at Hatti Mutti, the food was delicious and the service was great! Thank you Jack & family and best wishes to you.
Food was absolutely delicious and restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere. Staff was extremely nice and came out often to ask us if we needed anything and also just engaged in friendly banter. Overall great experience will come back again.
Food here is delicious—so flavorful and exciting. The chicken curry was incredible, and the beef dry fry was out of this world. We drove over from Princeton, and it was SO WORTH it!! The owner was incredibly kind and attentive, and he helped us order (first time having Sri Lankan food). If you come, don’t miss the spicy preserved eggplant—it was like nothing we’d ever had before, and one of the many highlights of the meal!! Come for the weekend specials, you won’t regret it!
Great option for halal Srilankan food. We had the Ceylon Kuttu Roti with Chicken and the Ceylon Noodles with Chicken. Both dishes tasted great. The chef/owner was very friendly and spent some time talking to us too. There are some things to keep in mind. For dine in, it's recommended to call in and order before coming to the restaurant. Also, not all of the items on menu are available on any given day.
I have been here to this quaint little place following a recommendation from a coworker. I am surprised how I missed this all these days. I think they serve the best authentic Sri Lankan cuisine in NJ. Kothuroti, lumprais, fish cutlets and Chicken Patty's are to die for. The best part is they custom the spices as per your pallette. If you prefer moderately spicy food, just let them know in advance. The management is very friendly and accommodating. I also find the prices very affordable. The ambience is great. 5 stars from a foodie.

I got mutton and chicken kothu takeout last night. They were both excellent. I preferred the chicken slightly better. Both had really flavorful curries, enough verges and moist roti and nicely spiced. Portions pretty large enough to share.Their Pattie’s and rolls are also great. I am a regular for the short eats but first time for the Kothu. Will be trying their menu items like, hoppers, Lampris soon. Keep it up guys.

We are truly grateful to have discovered this wonderfully authentic Sri Lankan restaurant in New Jersey. We tried the appams, idiappams, mutton curry, mutton rolls, beef dry fry, crab curry, fish curry and chicken fried rice(not to be confused with the Chinese version). Every single recipe was distinct, fiery and so delicious; just the way we remembered it from our travels to Sri Lanka. The owner, his lovely wife, daughter and her partner are so friendly with excellent manners. We spend two and half blissful hours there, eating and chatting. And we also brought some food home to nourish us over the weekend. I highly recommend this place and I cannot wait to go back there again. Please call the owner and order the appams, idiappams and crab curry a day in advance so they don’t run out.

Ordered food for a small gathering of friends. Excellent food. Their Kale salad, fish cutlets, string hoppers, sambal, veg fried rice, egg plant were terrific! You won't go wrong.
Based on great reviews on Google , we tried this place for dinner . We are so glad we tried and found a very authentic restaurant . Owner is a very friendly and passionate chef . He was very kind to explain Sri Lankan cuisine . Though restaurant was about to close , he prepared beetroot coconut curry , mutton gravy with idiappam. Both curries were tasty , authentic & home style . Owner stopped by multiple times to check and explain about the preparation of the dishes , ingredients etc . Prices are very reasonable too .I learned , Hatti Mutti means Pots & Pans in Srilankan language. We will certainly come back , may be on weekends to try their thali and other dishes .Recommend this place , anyone wants to try srilankan food which has lot of similarities with south India cuisine .
Had an amazing time with some friends and the Sri Lankan food was amazing. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try out authentic srilankan food!
Not very often, do I leave reviews. But I do so, when something tickles my palate. I do believe Hatti Mutti does so. The food is amazing. Choices are limited, to what is available on the particular day that you visit, unless you call ahead. Overall Jack, owner/chef does an amazing job. I will cater from him in the future and will bring my friends and family down, to taste his amazing food, whenever possible. He is BYOB, by the way. Cheers!
food was fantastic. Poricha potatoe curry was tasty but not the original one we had before. everyone at my party said overall food was delicious.
