Lovely staff. So helpful and so knowledgeable. Such a variety of cupcakes and cookies that you can gift or have the cutest theme party . They are artists!!!

Legendary cupcakes in downtown Princeton. Great stuff. Great service. $16 for 6 cupcakes. Not terrible for a special occasion.

Not a bad cupcake in the place. Do not pass it by. There is something for everyone to enjoy.

Quality and selection for everyone. Nut free options and all tastes great. Definitely a good alternative to the amazing ice cream spots nearby.

House of Cupcakes provides for a spectacular journey of the senses - both visually and in taste. It is quite easy to walk past the cupcakery, as it sits discreetly within the row of restaurants and other small shops. However, posters and signage at the windows do a decent job at capturing the attention of the wayfaring netizen to give insight of the delights found within.Inside the House of Cupcakes resembles that of a deli with a dash of boutique vibes. There is an immediate gravitation to the shelves of assorted cupcakes that line the wall behind the counter. There are also prepackaged cupcakes at the counter for available for quick in-and-out purchase if you don't have time to flounder around with making the "perfect" selection(s). If you are able to distract yourself from those mesmerizing goods, there are also racks of what appear to be locally sourced and made treats available if cupcakes are not your jam. But really, the visually appealing cupcakes steal the show. The variety and assortment of fresh cupcakes is truly overwhelming, and you could really sit there for minutes trying to decide on what you want. Definitely suggest that you go in with a plan-of-attack; know what flavors you are craving and build around that premise. However, I don't feel that you can go wrong judging by the flavors, and taste (in hindsight). The cupcakes themselves are incredibly fluffy and soft in texture and consistency. Sure, like other cupcakes they will harden if left expose to the elements, but if consumed properly and efficiently, these probably rates as one of the best cupcakes in the local area (the other best ones we've had are from Blue Sheep Bakery). Depending on the flavor and style, you might have filling within some of the cupcakes, while the majority of them are covered in a rich buttercream. The buttercream has been made to perfection - it is light (almost airy to a degree) and not entirely too sweet. We picked up half-a-dozen assort cupcakes, and surprisingly the Black Forest and Dulce de Leche varietals stood out to me. I was expecting the Dulce de Leche to be overwhelming sweet, but it was not and incredibly enjoyable. The Red Velvet was good and held its own, however, would have been amazing if the buttercream was cream cheese-based.All-in-all, a great spot to visit for some treats/desserts!

A decent place to stop in for a quick snack. They have an extremely large variety of cupcakes in addition to chocolate covered confections and cookies. Unfortunately, the cupcakes had frosting that were way too sweet and they also didn’t taste fresh. There’s definitely better places to get baked goods in Princeton, but this will do in a pinch.

TLDR: Black Forest and Dulce de Leche. Buttercream frosting/garnishment is perfection. You're welcome. House of Cupcakes provides for a spectacular journey of the senses - both visually and in taste. Finally took our kids here because we needed dessert to go when we headed out of Princeton. The baked goods speak for themselves here. Endless flavors of beautiful cupcakes. Also, a million other desserts!! Overwhelming honestly, but in a good way. Service was great, woman working helped my son who was entirely overwhelmed by the number of choices to make a choice. Pricey of course for a cupcake, but definitely enjoyed by all. Mediocre picture since the Boston cream took a tumble.

Food (4/5): we have gotten cupcakes from here several times over the years (we live about 20 min away). Most of the time the cupcakes are fresh and moist and very tasty. However, the other items they sell prepackaged are not as good or fresh. I have stopped getting the prepackaged cookies or brownies at the check out because the quality it much different than the fresh and flavorful taste of the cupcakes. My family recommends the German Chocolate cupcake, the Reese's PB chocolate cupcake and others. The chocolate raspberry, cookie dough, vanilla and red velvet aren't not the most flavorful.Atmosphere (4/5): It's comfortable and they have seating but it's just not very inviting to sit. The furniture feels hard and uninviting.Service (5/5): we've really only had positive experiences in being served here.

Where do I begin? I ordered a birthday cake for my co-worker birthday. I was very specific about it being a strawberry cake with strawberry frosting. Now let's be honest, that's a very easy description, nothing complicated. When I spoke to the young lady on the phone, I got a sense that she was confused but I thought nothing of it because she isn't the baker. Thursday I went by to pick my cake up, and let me be honest I was extremely disappointed because the penmanship on the cake seems to have been done by a 5 year old, keep in mind I paid $50 for a cake that can for into my hand. Again, I figured looks can be deceiving and it probably tasted better than it look. I gifted my co-worker the cake and he made no negative remarks because he figured it might taste really good its ok that the writing was awful. I waited for his response before posting my review because it's his birthday cake and he took it home. To my surprise, he message me, "I know you meant well but this is the worst cake I have ever eaten and to hos surprise it wasnt even strawberry cake, it was red velvet cake, and even his wife and 2 year old daughter didn't like it". Why say you can do the cake when you couldn't? Making me a completely different cake that i never asked for? This was not my usual cake spot but my regular spot was closed so I had to find something quickly. That's where House of Cupcakes came to mind. I'm very honest and never bias with any review but I will NEVER order from here again. Its such a shame because the cake was for someone else who was extremely disappointed. House of Cakes you need to do better. I wish I could have gotten a refund because it's not the cake I order. I asked for strawberry cake with strawberry frosting and I got a red velvet cake with light pink icing.

They are really good cupcakes. A little on the expensive side but, one of the few I'll buy instead of baking for myself. If you're in the area you should check it out.

This place has the best, fluffiest vegan cupcakes I’ve had in such a long time! Note they come chilled, so you have to wait a bit for them to be eaten at room temp., but they’re awesome! Rich, thick icing that had such a powerful vanilla flavor. I like the regular, non vegan cupcakes too, but I don’t enjoy how some of them have that marshmallow-style, more tasteless/airy type of icing, compared to buttercream. Just not a fan, but that’s a personal preference. This place also has gluten free and many other dietary restrictive options, as well as a variety of holiday options for ALL to enjoy! I’ll definitely stop back in next time I’m in town!Dietary restrictions: There were four vegan options when I was there, and they taste amazing! I recently had a Whole Foods vegan cupcake and these just blew it out of the water…SO MUCH tastier and not dense at all!
