Had lunch here by myself, food was good, but not spectacular. I think have the wine shop there is great, definitely bought a bottle to take home.

I always like coming to La Mezzaluna! The menu has great choices, the food is great, and it is BYOB so that keeps the cost very reasonable.
We had a great experience this was our third time at this restaurant. They have good vegetarian options.

The food and service is great. I had the special calamari appetizer, which was lightly fried in an Asian style sweet sour spicy sauce. For my lunch, I had the linguine bolognese, which was perfect and the meat sauce was flavorful. My dessert was tiramisu, which was really good. The portions were perfect for a lunch.
The food is always excellent at Mezzaluna. They have varied lunch menu and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Highly recommend. It's also a BYO.
Great food, lovely ambience, we were sorted in the back cozy booth. Service was very courteous, a wonderful dinner outing with my family.
Made a reservation several days in advance and despite being on time, we had to wait a few minutes while the waiter and host rushed to clear a table for our party that did not offer enough space. The service could've been better/ more friendly. If you like pesto, you're in luck as there's pesto on just about every other meal.

The food was very good and the service was excellent. You can tell they care about your experience and want you to enjoy your meal. We had a very nice time.
The food was fabulous, and the owner and his son (who was our server) were absolutely amazing! Super friendly and attentive staff with high quality, authentic Italian food. We loved everything about our meal last night! We will definitely be back!

Six of us went to La Mezz after a show at McCarter Theater. It's a BYO, with a convenient wine shop next door. The dining room is plain and simple, which is fine. We ordered two appetizers for the table; while the calamari was good, it was the skimpiest portion I've seen in a restaurant. The burrata was very good. The main courses, from rigatoni to chicken parm to linguini marechiaro received neither complaints or raves. The food was good but short of great. Nevertheless, it was enjoyable, the service was very good, and I wouldn't count it out for a return.
...An addition, 11 months later: Six of us had a res for a Sunday evening. We waited about five minutes for our table, the place was very busy. This was the fourth visit for two of us, with different results every time. Credit to the servers each time, they hustle to make the service good. On various visits the food has ranged from average to good to very good. Can't decide if it's enough to discourage or keep you coming back. On last visit, there was a table of about 14 college students who were a bit loud at times, but respectful of the rest of the diners. Can't say the same for one women a couple tables down, who shrieked and laughed as loud as possible, totally annoying and lacking consideration for anyone. Will probably return after a while.

It's BYO but the wine store next door is really good and nicely priced. Met the owner there shopping for himself.
The food was spectacular. I had the rack of lamb. I tasted the osso buco. Tried the pasta as well. All of it was spot on, especially the meat. The service was good and the atmosphere was a click up without being stuffy. Clean, comfortable, overall a winner.

Always enjoy a meal at La Mezzaluna. Fairly standard Italian menu (with an apparent emphasis on Northern Italian), and everything is good.
