We were there last night. Forget the poor reviews. When you walk in it feels like a pizzeria, but when the food is presented, it's like a 5 star restaurant! The presentation is gorgeous, the preparation is perfection. We were 5 in our party and everyone left happy. The portions were very generous and some of us brought leftovers home. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and it wasn't exorbitant either. Special shout out to Elizabeth, our delightful server (and daughter of the owner/chef) who treated us like royalty. Other friends who came in after us agreed!

We have been several times but lately disappointed. There may be new kitchen staff or they could have an off day but the lamb was over cooked and the lemon potatoes were mushy.
Service was good and the wait staff attentive but not intrusive.
There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Outdoor dining is tables along the sidewalk and is very seasonal.
We will likely try again in the summer but it's off our list in the near future
Parking: Restaurant is in a residential neighborhood with another popular Mexican restaurant on the same corner and a third down the block. Parking is never easy in Princeton and this is no exception.
There is public parking 2 blocks north where you can get a spot but there is NO signage to direct you there.
Wheelchair accessibility: Building is ground floor. Easy access

Cute quaint Greek place. Decor and atmosphere are very nice- feels very cozy and cottage like. Staff and service are very friendly. there’s a small hidden parking lot for visitors or you may need to park in the street. Food is very good, and presented nicely. Would come again, but the prices are a little hefty!

We were a group of eight dining at The Local Greek restaurant last night, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing—mainly due to poor service and restrictive payment policy. While the food was generally good, we ordered appetizers, a large meat platter with additional sides, and dessert. The large meat platter was decent, but portions of it, particularly the French fries, were served cold. While that might have been excusable, the service was not.
From the appetizers through to the main course and then desert, the staff consistently removed plates without asking if we were finished, even when it was clear we were not as we still had plenty of food on the table. Despite repeatedly telling them we were not done they continue to clear the table. They took the meat platter prematurely, even though it had a significant amount of food left on it. When they did take it, we specifically asked for the leftovers to be wrapped. Frankly, given the amount of food left, they should have wrapped it automatically. However, after some time, we inquired about the leftovers only to discover they had thrown everything away. They eventually prepared a small to-go tray to compensate, but this should never have been necessary in the first place.
The overall experience felt rushed. While the restaurant was busy when we arrived, it became noticeably less crowded midway through our meal. Yet, the staff continued to clear plates and the table prematurely, without confirming if we were finished. At one point, we had three desserts on the table that we were sharing. Although there was still dessert left on the plates as we were still picking at them, the staff cleared them all away without asking. This lack of attentiveness made the entire experience feel hurried and far from relaxing.
To make matters worse, the payment process was frustratingly restrictive. As a group of eight, we were informed that we could not pay using a mix of cash and credit—it had to be entirely one or the other. I never heard of any restriction like that, you would think they would want the cash. When we opted for credit, the waiter imposed an additional restriction, we could only use two credit cards to split the bill. We told him that we were four couples but he reiterated he can only split the bill using two credit cards. This policy is highly inconvenient and unlike anything we’ve encountered at other restaurants. Our group has been dining together for years and has never faced such limitations. For larger groups, this practice is simply unreasonable and impracticable.
Between the rushed service, the small tables, and the restrictive payment policy, our experience was far from enjoyable. While the food was ok, we cannot recommend The Local Greek to anyone looking for a relaxing dinner with good service. So if you’re looking for a relaxing dinner of good Greek food, I say go anywhere but there. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!

I used to order often from the former Nassau St location, but today I dined in at their current location. The greek spreads platter with warm pita was so delicious and fresh, especially the tzatziki which I loved! I could eat that again and again.
The calamari was okay but under seasoned and the marinara tasted bland. The greek arugula salad has always been my favorite but I noticed that it had less fruit than it used to. The grilled branzino was tasty too. Overall a great dinner and we all enjoyed our meal. Thanks to Cesar for his recommendations!

Overpriced and disappointing. $11 for a small bowl (1 cup) of lemon chicken soup with rice and $26 for subpar chicken skewers with rice and a tiny salad? Not impressed and would not recommend.

This place was great for a small celebratory meal! A little nicer than a casual place but still a relaxed atmosphere. Overall we had nice experience! The main highlight for all of us was the octopus meze by a mile! The texture was perfect, not rubbery at all, and the flavor exquisite! We also enjoyed the halloumi meze and home style spinach pie. The village stuffed chicken was a little dry, but had a decent flavor. Overall the food was good and we had a great time!
Parking: There is a free parking lot on the side of the restaurant, but it is quite small
