There are so many things from this store that you wouldn't have imagine they'd have for a small space. From food to toiletries and other househol stuff. They have some Korean items too, like the Black Pink hair color (but it did work for my hair, as in it didn't cover any grays). Could be packed on weekends so fall in line as soon as you're done looking around. Side parking hard to come by but there are paid garages nearby.

Great little spot for some Japanese food and snacks. The place can get very busy during the weekend but that's a good indicator that this is a great spot.

Great food and snacks here! Convenient place for Asian snacks, love it so much! Sometimes they have good sales, worth dropping by and giving a look. Onigiri are pretty heavy on rice and very skimpy on filling though, wouldn't recommend. The bakudan is $1 more (so $4) but does better on rice:filling ratio and tastes really good. The instant curry udon was sorta icky but it was cheap so why not. Employees/shop owners are very nice and this place has great vibes, perfect for a study snack run with friends.

Here's just like a mini version of Mitsuwa. They have most of the things that I need. I feel so happy we have Maruichi in the town.

Absolutely thrilled to finally stop by this exceedingly authentic Japanese スパー! I'm absolutely impressed with the cookie gift sets . I usually have to go into Manhattan to see such a wonderful selection of attractive boxes of fine Japanese cookies. Japan this is a big deal because of omiyage giftgiving culture. They also have an onigiri stand. I'm crazy about this very special race ball. Hey this is like the food your mom makes for you when you go on a little trip. Perhaps if you went on a picnic or maybe your school lunch might have this rice ball that's filled with something wonderful like a pickled plum, salmon or maybe wasabi tuna mayo. I wholeheartedly. Look forward to coming back as soon as possible. The staff was very nice and welcoming . The store is very tidy and clean . Staff members were very active, stocking shelves, and being so kind . Everything looked fresh and well stocked . Beautiful fruits and vegetables. I'm really happy to see this Japanese food store today!

Wow! This place was impressive. Between the HUGE cuts of sashimi and large assortment of authentic goods

What a lovely place. Great price for all kinds of Asian snacks and the sushi and onigiri are so good. Low key on par with a real sushi restaurant.

Best store ever. Very authentic. Great sushi and rice ball. I am grateful that they open a store like this in Princeton!

The coolest place in Princeton. They have an assortment of Japanese foods and snacks and it’s so fun to try new things. The salmon sushi is cheaper than any restaurant in the area and extremely good quality. They sell for around $2.25 per piece, while the restaurants are around $3.50, up to $7 for Ajiten. The Tamagoyaki was heavenly and perfectly sweet, and the sashimi is great too. I only wish that they had a place to sit down and eat, but I understand that real estate is at a premium. They had a delicious fresh sushi sample station today, with matcha tea, that I really enjoyed.

What an incredible find along Princeton's main drag! Unassuming from the outside but once you walk in, they have everything Japanese that you've ever wanted! And if they don't have it, you don't need it in your life! Sushi to make-up. Baby cologne to miso paste. Japanese snacks as fast as the eye can see. Cooked food. Raw food. EVERYTHING! Neatly organized and reasonably priced. Staff was more than willing to answer questions and help. And The Rice Master for a quick handheld snack... what more can you ask for!

No hot water in mens restrooms that are also used by kitchen staff, please fix.

Maruichi Japanese Food & Deli offers a variety of groceries, frozen foods, and meats, but their prepared food falls short. Onigiri lacks filling and flavor, while other options are unappealing. However, the pantry items are good, and the staff is friendly. The cheesecake is fresh but doesn't taste like traditional cheesecake.

Feeling lucky to have Maruichi at Princeton. The food is wonderful. The store carries a lot of hard to find items. Just perfect all around.

This place is conveniently located on the Princeton campus. They sell all kinds of Japanese items from candy, fresh sashimi, Japanese spice packets, to cooking equipment. I think it is really cool they have a mini Japanese specific grocery store in Princeton. I really liked the ready made nori items. They were like 3 dollars a piece (buyer beware though- they are mostly stuffed with rice and only a bit of meat/seafood).
