Always enjoy sitting at the bar and have a pre-dinner drink. Once we sit down for dinner.... food is excellent.
My friend and I decided to eat here for an early dinner. I had the crab cakes. I felt sick to my stomach after I ate. The taste of the crabcakes was off

A good place for large groups and families. It is a bit noisy if you want an intimate date night dinner. The pasta was 'slightly' over cooked and the short rib sauce was a bit on the sweet side. It is more American than expected, and not really 'traditional' Italian. Good overall - the mushroom appetizer was excellent, but it does have sausage in it so it is not vegetarian Parmesan was in a jar on the table, so not freshly graded - more like a pizzeria as far as details like that. Overall the experience was good and the food was good. Just level your expectations if you are expecting aldente pasta and more traditional neopolitan sauces.
Appetizers, drinks, and soup was very good. Spinach ravioli were disappointing and not really ravioli, more like a manicotti in pasta, as opposed to a crepe. Dessert was good, amaretto cappuccino was average.
My husband and I took our two-year-old son here on Christmas Eve eve. It was the perfect lunch - the drinks were wonderful (I had two gingerbread martinis, and boy are those addictive), the food was fresh and delicious, and my husband's steak was cooked perfectly. We will absolutely be back and are sorry we didn't discover this restaurant earlier!
Good food, good atmosphere. Would return for a visit to Princeton.

Good restaurant often overlooked. They have been around for a long time now. Fairly extensive menu with daily specials. Food is above average. Soups seem homemade. Good appies. Good size servings. Some dishes which should come with pasta do not. Charging extra for pasta seems excessive particularly on a breaded parmesan dish. Nice ambiance overall. Big place.

Excellent first visit to Metro North for out of town parent & grandparent of a Princeton student. Wonderful food, service, ambiance!! Only comment that would provide any critique would be to add more handicap parking in the back lot as we had to park in the last row and maneuver to the front of the building over the bridge being careful not to slip given the cold temps; thank you for the salt down to prevent that! Excellent restaurant and festive environment. We WILL be back!
Awesome 😎

Metro North is our go-to place before a show at McCarter theatre. We can always count on their prompt and friendly service and good food. My favorites there are the butterfish and the manchego salad with salmon on top. They make an excellent chocolate martini for dessert. It can be quite loud there as it is usually fairly busy. But they do a great job for pre-theatre. I have also held holiday/birthday dinners in the upstairs room which is lovely.
The food was great and our waiter was really good. Unfortunately, even though we had a reservation, we had to wait 45 minutes for a table .. which I find unacceptable. Of course the host was apologetic, and for some reason thought we needed handicap access to a table, which we did not. We ended up eating late which put a damper on the night. If you're not going to honor reservation times, just have open seating as people who walked in after us were seated before us.
