Food and ambiance was very good. Server was attentive. Despite this very busy Saturday night, our server got us served quickly in time to see a show at the McCarter. This is our go-to place when we're seeing a show. Ambiance is warm and cozy.
A good place for large groups and families. It is a bit noisy if you want an intimate date night dinner. The pasta was 'slightly' over cooked and the short rib sauce was a bit on the sweet side. It is more American than expected, and not really 'traditional' Italian. Good overall - the mushroom appetizer was excellent, but it does have sausage in it so it is not vegetarian Parmesan was in a jar on the table, so not freshly graded - more like a pizzeria as far...
Appetizers, drinks, and soup was very good. Spinach ravioli were disappointing and not really ravioli, more like a manicotti in pasta, as opposed to a crepe. Dessert was good, amaretto cappuccino was average.
