I love this restaurant. The food is authentic and staff n service are equal to 5 star restaurants in Princeton. I hope they keep it up without compensating any qualities they have. ❤️
My son and I went to Pastiamo this evening with such high hopes! Sadly, our hopes dashed and crashed. The absolute highlight though was the most lovely server ever! We ordered the Pastiamo salad which was fresh, but the dressing was weak. We ordered the Pizzaccia (focaccia with marinara and mozzarella), which was probably the best of everything we ordered, but it was light on flavor. I actually needed to add salt and a lot of crushed red pepper flakes to it to make it taste just ok. My son ordered the ravioli with sage and butter sauce. He was again underwhelmed. He said it was too salty and too strong on the sage. Since he was so unhappy with his food up to this point, he ordered the tagliateli with meat ragu. He did ask before he ordered it if the pasta was fresh, and the server said it was. Honestly, this pasta did not have the consistency or taste of fresh pasta. Additionally, there wasn't enough of the meat sauce, so the effect was that the dish was dry, and besides, the flavor of the meat sauce was offputting. The server brought plain focacia to the table, which I think came with our salad, but without any olive oil to dip it into, it was dry and tasteless and on the stale side. Lastly, I need to comment on the size of the dishes which all seemed like appetizer portions- which actually turned out to be fine because we couldn't have eaten any more of such tasteless/bad-tasting food. The meal cost about $70.00 with the tip, and I thought that was much too much money for 2 people for this food. As far as the atmosphere- you guys are trying to be an authentic Italian restaurant, but it just felt like an imposter. You've got the Italian music going, and you've got the tablecloths, but you just aren't reaching the mark (in our opinion). This restaurant felt like Panera meets Olive Garden- only much, much worse than both. I'd rather go to Olive Garden any day; it doesn't pretend to be authentic food from Italy, but gives the customers decent, dependable food (and a lot of it) for the money. Next time we are in the mood for really good local Italian food, we'll head back to Theresa's Cafe in Princeton, where the food is always fresh, tasty, and absolutely delicious.

So yummy! We came for our reservation on Valentine’s Day and they even gave us a complimentary pastry and gave all the couples roses! The pasta was delicious and the perfect serving size too.

I tend to think anyone who gives this place less than 5 stars has terrible taste. We've been looking forever for a place like this, and have not been able to find it even at much higher prices. Finally a high quality Italy restaurant.

Food transports you to Italy, service is friendly
Very authentic Italian food with good quality of ingredients and a nice departure from the typical Italian-American options that are more prevalent around this area. They have delicious focaccia and a liguria sandwich that is fantastic. Try the tagliatelli combined with mussels and peccorino.

This restaurant is wonderful! The owner is also the chef and she’s from Italy. We loved our food and our waitress, Adrianna, was delightful, she made our experience there so lovely. Will definitely be back!

I was very pleased with the attentive and friendly staff.
The restaurant has a nice selection of pasta and sauces. The pasta was nicely cooked - slightly al dente. But, I found my pesto sauce was ok, not great.

We recently hosted a Sweet 16 party here, and it couldn’t have been a better experience! From the very beginning, Francesca (the owner and chef) made everything so easy. She personally helped us plan the menu and was so accommodating with all of our requests — it really took the stress out of planning.
The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was fresh and full of flavor, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing everything was.
The staff was just as wonderful. Everyone was polite, attentive, and genuinely kind. Our party ended up going past the restaurant’s closing time, but the team was so patient and gracious, never making us feel rushed.
We’re so grateful to Francesca and her staff for helping make this celebration so special. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone — whether you’re planning an event or just going out for a great meal. Our family will definitely be back soon!
