This is literally the worst Playa I've ever been to. They DO NOT use as many ingredients as others. The owner is cheaping out. Everything taste frozen and thawed. Nothing is fresh. You can't trick people that eat fresh food. Even the granola tastes like the freezer. It's like they froze it so it doesn't expire and used it way past its expiration date. It's not a shame because the staff is always so nice!!!!

we just got the worst smoothie of our lives !!!!!!!! not even mixed, like raw piece of frozen fruits in this shitty cup that was not even the size we ordered. Didn’t even taste coconut milk. This is actually insane I can’t believe it. She literally had to scoop it out with a spoon jeez. Making a good smoothie doesn’t ask a lot of skills i think. I mean at least shake it please. And use real fruits.

The place itself is ok if you go in but really frustrating when you order via doordash & playa bowls has selected not to let you customize smoothies so if you have an allergy you cannot take out any ingredients nor modify it. Then when you try to call the place to speak to someone you get a general automated playa bowl system that has you leave your message, name, location you’re calling about etc. I understand it’s too busy for employees to answer phones but then at least let people take out ingredients in their menu items under the special instructions or add a “remove specific ingredient” checkbox. We order a lot at work and hard to order here personally when I don’t have a way to remove the allergen from their products

Terrible service and workers were rude. Ordered a NUTELLA acai bowl, and there was little to no drizzle on top, then went up to ask for more and was given a dirty look by the worker, and told it would be a $1 upcharge. Don’t go here 😊

This location is terribly understaffed all of the time. The employees are working so hard to keep up with the demand, but it’s probably pretty hard to do that in a university town on a busy weekend when only two people are working…
I love Playa Bowls, but this location is terrible. I’ve been several dozen times and they do not put as many toppings on as other Playa Bowls locations; for example, often there is far from enough fruit on my bowl or my friends order bowls with “extra Nutella” and barely receive a normal amount. It’s clear they do this to cut costs. Moreover, last week I got a smoothie there and there were entire strawberries that had not been blended. The staff are pretty rude when you confront them about these things and don’t make efforts to fix them. They don’t even let you use the bathroom. Skip this Playa Bowls location and go to the one on Nassau Park Boulevard or the one in Belle Mead instead.

While I was trying to place my order, the employee with glasses was on her phone the entire time and seemed completely uninterested in helping us. She barely acknowledged that we were there. and didn’t even make eye contact. It felt like we were interrupting her rather than being valued as customers. This lack of professionalism really made the experience unpleasant, and I hope management addresses this issue. Customers deserve better service.”

I ordered a pickup order today, January 23, at 8:19 PM on the Hulfish Princeton location. According to the schedule they close at 9 PM. I went to the store to wait for the order just to find out that they were completely closed (at 8:25, by the way). I already paid for it. I can not believe how irresponsible you are. I want my money back.
