First time here ..... bad experience because of the service not food.
The staff here is very very rude and not customer oriented whatsoever.
I ordered sushi rolls for my daughter and I ordered the all you can eat sushi special... my daughter was trying out my sushi and the waitress came around and said that our daughter shouldn't be eating our food because it's all you can eat...which I thought was ridiculous to say the least. The workers at a restaurant shouldn't be telling their customers what to feed their own children!

Food was alright, pricing was a bit much for the quality. You can get all you can eat with quality fish and extras if you drive a bit more and go to Sakana in New Brunswick. The main driving point of writing this review was the service! So terrible and rude. Before I even sat down she was rushing me to pick something to drink. Then threw the check down and told us to pay before we were done eating. Halfway through she would begin yelling at us from wherever she was in the restaurant instead of walking to our table. Because of her service alone, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come. Also, bc of their poor quality chopstick I got a wood splinter stuck in my mouth. Not the dinning experience you’d imagine. If you want to enjoy your time eating out, just to Sakana.

Finally, I am making a review for this location.

My one and only experience here was horrible, in terms of the experience, not the food.

The Food wasn't too bad, appetizers were good, and the sushi wasn't that bad either.

However, this is where it went downhill.

My toddler wasn't feeling well after eating something, so as he threw it up, my wife caught it in her napkin.

Our server, who never greeted us, never smiled, never checked up on us, never told us to enjoy our meals, nothing that resembled service, all of a sudden comes to our table, points at the napkin, and accuses us of hiding sushi rice, by making a scene, saying "You can't throw rice away, there is a penalty"

After worrying about our toddler, that soon turned to anger as we were insulted by the false accusation.

My wife got extremely upset and told her what happened and then blank faced, she responds, "OK, her threw up? Oh ok." And just walks away.

No apology. No asking if my toddler was feeling OK. Just walked away.

We were so upset and didn't want to continue our meal so we asked for the check, but here's the kicker. She said she can't give us the check until we finished all our food.

We were incensed. I asked to speak to the manager and she said there is no manager.

Then she says, "I'm sorry, it's my fault, ok" but the tone she used when saying those words were very ingenuity.

Not wanting to deal with her any longer. I inhaled our giant platter and asked for the check.

She brings the check and then proceeds to ask us "Do you want dessert?"

I legit thought I was in a Hidden Camera show, or an episode of "What Would You Do?"

I don't care if staff has changed, and improved, because although the restaurant was contacted after this incident, I never got a response.

Unbelievable.

Came here an hour before closing because we were craving sushi last minute. Good menu and reasonably priced, great place to go for all you can eat sushi. Their seaweed salad is the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic food (VERY freshly made). Great friendly service. Much much better than a "all you can eat" buffet. My favorite.

Sushi Palace is finally improving and bringing new options to the menu.
Striped Bass, Peking Duck and Sesame Tuna are good additions.
They tried to make short ribs, but didn’t work, too bad.

Glad they upped their game and added more food this time like their rivals sprouting everywhere. For me they’re the original all-you-can-eat sushi place in this side of NJ.

When it is very busy, the service takes a while. Take this into account, especially on weekends.

I went with two friends and we got all you can eat. The food was pretty good. I appreciate the fact that they brought food out consistently over time rather than all at once. Not every AYCE sushi place can get that right. The presentation of the food was also fantastic. Finally, I did not feel rushed at all. We sat for a little over two hours and this would be a no-go at some other locations but not this one. Granted, it was lunch but there was a fair number of customers (no wait times). Overall great experience, and love that it’s right by Princeton and off Route 1.
