This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. A short walk away from Princeton University and all of the shopping of downtown. The heated floors in the bathroom were a huge plus for this southerner. The beds were extremely comfortable, as well as the pillows. The continental breakfast was delicious, especially the blueberry muffins. While this is a boutique hotel, the prices are fairly reasonable. I would recommend staying here if you're in the area.Walkability: Located half a mile from Princeton University and downtown Princeton.Noteworthy details: Heated floors in the bathroom were a wonderful touch.

My partner and I stayed at The Peacock Inn about a month ago and it was a fabulous stay. The room was absolutely lovely. Clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated. The hotel’s restaurant was TO DIE FOR. Incredible dishes all around. We got to try escargot for the first time and it was just spectacular.Loved our stay here and I’d book again in a heartbeat.

We had the tea experience at the Peacock Inn and it was disappointing (especially for $65 pp). The soup was terrible and it didn’t help that the waitress introduced the soup with “either you will hate it or love it”….well, we hated it. If you know the soup sucks, why not change the recipe? Listen to your customers’ feedback! The sandwiches were gross too….bad bread choice and very basic and bland. It’s not hard to make a yummy little sandwich. if you are trying to be “fancy”, quality matters. The desserts were way too sweet but some decent options in the mix. Tea was good but it was too strong to drink after the first cup. We loved the idea of high tea, but not the way The Peacock Inn executed it, which is a shame because the location is perfect.

Took my friend here on a Saturday for a special occasion brunch. The building / inn is historic, and I had wanted to try it. The ambience was elegant, and the staff was friendly. I will say that the brunch menu was a bit limited, but the food was good and a reasonable price. The muffin they served with your meal was incredible. They have select "Wine Wednesdays" in which you can get a coursed meal with wine pairings for $40! I definitely will be checking that out in the future. Another note is that they have complimentary valet parking or street parking.

We just came to the inaugural Wine Wednesdays. What an amazing experience! It was like a mini wine dinner but a specially curated menu with perfect wine pairings and on our schedule. We will be back <3

We had dinner at the Inn, and it was prepared perfectly, served beautifully, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. I totally enjoyed my dinner and the cherry mousse desert is too beautiful to eat but we did.One recommendation...do not play jazz as a background for dining. The music selections are too subjective.Food & drinks: The foods fabulous!

Delightful high tea. Would have liked more tea sandwiches; but that is always the case at tea! The site let me bring in our own birthday cake for my granddaughter's 21st--more of a fruit tart she had eyed for almost a year beforehand: This was a huge dealbreaker in selecting a site-several tea houses refused. The service was attentive and impeccable. We were seated outdoors in a lovely setting; except that on other side of bushes was major thoroughfare through Princeton. I'd like to suggest they move the fountain and outdoor seating to the side of the building. Overall it was a successful 21st BD Tea and my granddtr and I are left with quite fond memories.

Tried this place for our anniversary and we were very pleasantly surprised! We will be back! First of all the service and attention to detail was excellent. The lobster bisque was served in a way I've never seen....the lobster meat was in a bowl and then the server poured the bisque over it. Lots of lobster meat! Crudité was excellent and the oysters with caviar were out of this world! Main course was enjoyable as well with many options to choose from. Good quality food and attentive service. Our day was made! Try it out! The drink menu also looked magnificent.

Elegant place for Sunday Brunch. We both had the Lobster Benedict where the lobster was beautifully poached and eggs were perfectly done. I had a Blueberry Mule as my drink. Excellent!

Although we were refunded for our stay, I am writing this review because the refund can’t correct just how bad our stay was. It’s not a luxury hotel. This was literally the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I came for a baby moon (being pregnant) with my husband and the noise was unbearable to the point we checked out early and went to a different hotel (which was MUCH better). Before choosing to check out, I had just asked Julia/manager over the phone when the noise would stop (day #2 of dealing with it) and she said 20 minutes. So I decided I would go sit on the front porch until it was over because I could not sleep. As I left my room, and walked down the stairs I saw Julia and she stopped me on the stairs alleging I was going to address her staff for being noisy (who were near the stairs, and who finally got quiet and began to stare at what was taking place). I told her that was a rude allegation as I was on my way to the front porch to be with my husband who was out reading a book. She embarrassed me and scolded me with a false assumption and then apologized. Then, she asked how she could make my stay more comfortable and I told her it would be better if the staff could keep the noise down such as not slamming the doors on the bolt locks, playing music and talking loudly. She justified the noise with saying that the establishment is also a restaurant and bar, and that staff are doing their job and are finishing cleaning (from 8am to 3:30pm they were cleaning in front of my room…hitting the walls and steps with their vacuum, playing music and slamming doors. Half were kids.). I told her that it doesn’t excuse being loud on the job knowing that it’s also a hotel. She then said “I will speak with your husband” and waived her hands as if to cut me off. She said “I will speak to your husband” when I tried to say anything else, and it ended with me saying that I would be the one speaking with him. She treated me like a child whose husband was the parent.I will also say that earlier that day I overheard Julia’s coworker (both at the front desk) complaining to her about guests in another room, 203 I believe, as I was walking in from touring. I know I’m not the only one who had a bad experience.Overall it was very frustrating trying to get some sleep, and I was humiliated & disrespected for complaining.

The menu is intentional to appeal to a variety of palates. Menu items clearly indicate GF and DF and careful consideration is provided by the server for dietary restrictions. Just out of sight in an empty dining room I watched as the server carefully inspected each place setting and adjusted pieces to be exact in their position. Such astute attention when no one was watching gives strong confidence of the care and expectations required all the way to the kitchen. The ample portions were presented creatively and were delicious. Order the dessert, it's a work of art for your senses.

We just had Thanksgiving Dinner at the restaurant. The turkey was dry, there was hardly any stuffing and the potatoes were stiff. So disappointed. The price is outrageous for the quality of the food.

Loud and inconsiderate towards hotel guests. I’m very tired as a result. Staff really don’t care and get attitude when complaining of the noise.
