When you walk in the vibe is relaxed, warm, and inviting, as if you were having dinner in a friend's kitchen. There aren't an overwhelming amount of choices but there is something for everyone. While you wait for your meal, enjoy the delicious flatbread. I am on a diet but everyone else loved it. What is delivered to your table is absolutely delicious. My daughter, who has eaten there before, raved about their house dressing. How excited can one get over salad dressing? It was so good. She ordered the Parpadelle Meat Sauce. She loved it. It was a lot so she took half of it home. Her boyfriend had the Apricot & Walnut Salad. It looked delicious and he really enjoyed it. As I mentioned, I am on a diet so I was happy to see the variety of salads. I ordered the Pasta Fazool, yum, and the Beet & Goat Cheese Salad; I added Shrimp. It was delicious, especially the shrimp, well seasoned, and they weren't cheap on the beets or goat cheese which made me happy. It was topped with that salad dressing and, my daughter was right, it was delicious. My husband, whom we affectionately refer to as "Bob the Food Snob", had the Frutta del Mar. He always sends his food back but loved this dish. The pasta is fresh, the sauce perfectly seasoned. We ended the evening with zeppole shared for the table. It comes with Nutella. My daughter's boyfriend joked that zeppole filled with cannoli cream would be outrageously delicious. I ordered that and the Nutella. I expected the cannoli cream to be typical. It was really light. Yes, I had a taste because they were all talking about it and dessert is my thing. Brad was right, zeppole and cannoli cream is delicious. Put that on the menu! We are going back!

First time at this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was fabulous, and the service was right on. We never felt rushed as the courses were spread out appropriately. Prices are reasonable, especially for the area. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion. We will definitely be back.

Trattoria Procaccini has been our go-to restaurant for years. We enjoy dining on the patio when weather permits, but love the cozy, inviting interior during the winter months. Welcoming staff and great service keep us coming back regularly.

A little noisy when we arrived. Kids were loud at one table and parents screaming when saying goodbye to another table. Only about 5 tables in the side room. Good excellent, service really good. Food delicious. Highly recommend eating here. BYOB makes it very affordable.

Pleasant surprise & parking. Went with a large party and the waiters were so accomdating and efficient. Antipasto was beautifully presented and equally delish. The bread triangles that are served to the table are so good. Most of our group had different pastas and all raved about them. Chicken parm with vodka sauce was a big hit as was risotto with scallops. Pizza also very good. Zeppoles with Nutella hit that spot and luckily they are on the smaller side. Definitley have to give this place a try.

This is the 2nd time we've been here and the place did not disappoint! I ordered the Veal Saltimbocca and my dining partner had the Salmon Pizzaiola. The veal was so tender and delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the pizzaiola sauce complemented the fish nicely. Staff were very attentive to our needs - I wanted to try some meat sauce and Nico, the owner brought out a small skillet of sauce with bread for dipping, gratis! (Suggestion: this would make a great appetizer!) Can't wait to visit again - excellent meal and service!

Good food. Good service. So-so decor. Terrible acoustics. Way too noisy. Can't have a conversation.

Few places knock a meat sauce out of the park like this place. Service is great, but the restaurant is a bit warm due to all the pizza ovens (not a complaint, just a note for those of you that run hot like I do).My only complaint is that I wish they'd just add the Gnocchi with Meat Sauce to the menu so I don't have to custom order it ?

Pretty modest venue, feels more like a late night casual dining pizza restaurant than an Italian establishment. Definitely not a first choice date night destination. However it serves as a decent BYOB place near Princeton’s campus, though the food quality is quite subpar.First, the wait time for the food was surprisingly long despite the restaurant not being very busy.Ordered bruschetta and pappardelle pasta with meat sauce. Both were not entirely impressive. Bruschetta felt like some chopped tomatoes on bread, while the pasta was not particularly flavorful and somewhat soggy.

We found this cozy off the beaten path gem, and had dinner before going to the McCarter Theatre. I had the HOMEMADE pasta and mushroom dish and added sausage. It was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten. I told my husband that it's crave-worthy and that we will be making the trip from Essex County just for this dish! My husband enjoyed his spaghetti and meatballs and said it reminded him of the Bronx old world Italian food he had as a kid. TEN STARS!!

This is our third time at Procaccini with friends and it has maintained its consistently excellent food and relaxed atmosphere. It is the only place we have found in the Princeton that you can get frito misto anything like in Italy. The fresh pasta is excellent and they have always had gluten free pasta, a real plus.

The best Chicken Marsala I've ever had. My husband had the Fruitte de Mar and he loved it. The meals come with a salad and that's nice, the dressing was delicious. We sat outside, it was a beautiful evening... I love outdoor seating this time of year. The restaurant is also byob, which is a plus also. Will definitely be back!
