While attending the No Kings rally, my granddaughters were hungry. I headed from the corner towards the fried chicken place but stopped here instead. I got them each and order of the Mac and cheese. I got their mother, their aunt, and I am order of the seasoned fries. All the food was excellent. It wasn't fast food. The fries were just cooked and still very hot. I'll be back again someday.

Soooo I took a shot at ordering soul food from Uber. It was a 60-77 minute wait. And the delivery took as long as it told me. But baaaby when I got my food every bit of it was piping hot and ready to eat. It smelled soooo good. My husband and I dove right in. We had the catfish platter with Mac & cheese and the 6 piece chicken soul platter. It came with yellow rice, a piece of cornbread, Mac, candied yams and some delicious fried chicken.

Their food is so good! It’s reasonable portion for prices and their desserts are really good. This is the closest soul food place that I go to that’s actually worth the drive.

Ordered on DoorDash, my driver went through all of Union County before picking up my food… when food arrived everything was still hot. Food was good, nothing too spectacular. Chicken quality could definitely be better you get those little baby wings that are all deformed, satisfying for the price though.

Food looks good, but the flavor is lacking.
I ordered the salmon platter, with mac and cheese and yams. Also came with yellow rice, which I would have opted out of, if I had known.
Salmon was the most flavorful thing in the platter. Mac and cheese was just not it. No flavor. The yams? Never had yams that did not have flavor, ever. And the rice was goya. They could’ve kept that.
5 stars for presentation 0 stars for flavor, sorry.
Please put some seasoning in the food, so people aren’t wasting $25+ for a bland, tasteless meal.
