Very homie spot. It's definitely more of a to-go spot since they don't really serve you on actual plates in the restaurant. Both miso soup and rice came in a to go cup, all entree are in Togo containers. That being said the food is good, the rice always warm and the fish is fresh. Even on weekdays the fish is superb and lunch is a bargain. Worth a try forsure

Ordered miso soup, shrimp tempura roll, and beef yaki udon noodles yesterday via Uber Eats. The shrimp tempura rolls were rolled horribly and barely held together, but overall the taste was fine. My problem was with the beef yaki udon noodles which tasted old and SOUR. It was absolutely disgusting and inedible, I had to throw it out and I paid almost $20 for this noodle dish. My friend ordered the steak hibachi and it was decent. Was very disappointed.

I ordered a Miso Soup from Little Tokyo of Rahway, and it was honestly disappointing. It was just water — no tofu, no seaweed, nothing inside. On top of that, they served it in a coffee cup for takeout. Really not what I expected from a Japanese restaurant.

What a great addition to Rahway! Super fresh sushi, extremely fast service, and their shumai are fried. Went in on a whim on a Wednesday night coming home from work and was helped immediately. Inside was also clean and inviting if you'd like to dine in. Was out of there in under 10 minutes. Wonderful addition to the lacking Rahway sushi scene, especially since Rahway sushi has been closed (with good reason). Nice to have another option near the downtown area.
