Although Flynn’s seems to be a local staple, my experience was far from enjoyable. My order of chicken wings arrived still covered in feathers—an oversight that immediately turned my stomach. The fact that they didn’t properly clean the chicken before serving it raises serious concerns about their kitchen hygiene and food preparation standards. If they’re skipping something as basic as cleaning the meat, what else are they neglecting behind the scenes?
Beyond that, the food was mediocre at best, and the drinks? Questionable. The overall atmosphere felt more like a run-down bar than a restaurant, which only added to my concerns about cleanliness. If this is what’s happening in plain sight, I don’t even want to imagine what’s going on in the kitchen.
Needless to say, I won’t be eating here again.

I love Flynn’s. Great food. Good prices. In my opinion the second best wings in NJ. The only drawback is that the evening wait staff hasn’t been the best. If I’m at the bar I shouldn’t have to call someone over to order a drink or another food item. I’ve been there several times over the past few weeks.

Literally sitting at the bar waiting FOREVER to place an order as the bar tender is on her phone. I wish I could take a picture. Short Mexican bar tender walked right past me and didn't ask ANYTHING. This place has REALLY poor customer service. Can't rate the food because I was never asked to place an order.

Have been to Flynn’s 3 times. This was out second time for breakfast and they refused to seat us at a regular table, instead made us sit on the side stools. No reasoning except “no I can’t give you that table” we suspect they reserve a 4 chair table for a group of more than two people. We have never been denied a regular table anywhere else, seems like a poor business practice all around because money is money. Service is okay, food is good but the atmosphere is unwelcoming at best. We ordered a mimosa and a manmosa, tried to give us the manmosa in a champagne glass when it supposed to come in a beer glass, heard the owner who was running the bar, say “we need to raise their prices”. Overall a very unpleasant experience from the few times we’ve been here because of the poor business practice of the owner, which is a shame because it’s an okay place otherwise when the owner isn’t hovering.

Nice place for drinks, but I wouldn't recommend the food. Both me and my partner got sick from eating completely different meals. She had pizza and I had the Chicken Parmesan with Penne Vodka. The pizza smelled weird and she said something tasted off about it. The bartender was very accommodating and took it off the bill. Service was good, there's plenty of tables and even a pool table and darts in the back room.

The breakfast food is good, but the customer service is HORRIBLE.
I have been going consistently for over a year now, and from DAY ONE the service was terrible.
The first time I sat in and ate, the girl took forever to acknowledge me, although she walked and stood in front of me the whole time. I saw her talk to, greet, and interact with all the white folk, but until I forced her to acknowledge me and take my order she ignored me.
I’m from this town, but I had never been there in all my life and it took me several months to go back, and the ONLY reason I did was because Rahway Grill closed and I figured that rude chick does not own the place.
But it never fails, even on the phone they are rude, and when I come in they either act like they don’t know what I’m there for and ask 99 questions, it instantly assume/know I called and are ready to get me out the door but not in a friendly, fast service kind of way.
This morning I decided to get something different and I called and asked what vegetable options they had to go in an omelette; the (new) girl spent countless minutes trying to direct me to the DoorDash menu instead of just answering the damn question.
When I finally asserted “I am not going online, I am asking you…” she put me on hold then came back and told me… THEN as soon as I walked in and she knew what order I was picking up, asked “Do you want to take a picture of the menu for next time?”
I simply said “NO”!
But I wanted to say so much more; but I just decided THAT WAS MY LAST TIME GOING THERE‼️
I get the world we live in is truly disconnected, and customer service at large is pretty non existent, but some things I have no tolerance for, and rudeness will ALWAYS be one of them.
I’ll spend my money where I’m treated better.

This was a great little gem. The food is great, the portions are perfect, and they are open a majority of the day. I never thought I'd hit a pub for breakfast, but this is by far one of the best breakfast options there in Rahway. I got their Benedict for breakfast and their turkey wrap for lunch. Both were great. My only disappointment was that they used patties for their hash browns instead of fresh potatoes, so next time I go I'll get a different side. Definitely hit this place up any time you're nearby.
