First thing you get the Vibe of the Place, followed by Wonderful friendly Greetings from the Owner.Food tastes really good ?Must try this place if you are living or crossing by Rahway.
Just what you want out of a small local diner. Great service and delicious food, served by a staff that treat you like one of the family. The whole family enjoyed everything we were served, including our picky kids.
Kid-friendliness: The staff engaged the kids and made sure that they were enjoying their meals too.
Food is subpar for what they are charging. I’ve often been given my takeout order with something missing that I paid for. They are understaffed so it takes a while to get your food, especially when ordering takeout. I’ve been in there several times when the owner is around he never offers to help when his staff is clearly overwhelmed— which isn’t a good look.Definitely better options in Rahway that are more reliable and consistently good.
I just had a fantastic time here … delicious food, Chef Manny excellent presentation! The owners Anthony and Mike I love you for always going all out for your customers! ❤️
Food was delicious and staff was not only funny but very friendly. Would 10/10 recommend the 3 cheese grilled cheese on texas toast!!! Everyone was kind and gave me and my family a great lunch. Homey cooking and simple but tasty! It was $38 for 3 people, in my opinion u cant beat the price!
The Rahway Grill is a little gem of a diner! My bf and I came here on a whim as we were walking by and decided to get breakfast. I ordered 2eggs with bacon and toast with a side of pumpkin pancakes, and my bf ordered an omelet with breakfast potatoes. The intimacy of the diner was perfect. Our server was excellent. And the overall feel was homey. If you enjoy a small setting and homemade food, give this little diner a chance.
Rahway Grill feels like it’s been open forever, the kitchen staff knows exactly what they’re doing. In my opinion their Reuben is the best in union county, and the onion rings are first class.
Vegetarian options: Diner classics, salads and fried delights.
Kid-friendliness: Vibrant environment, ice cream parlor inside, kids menus
Wheelchair accessibility: No step to enter, room inside to maneuver and low booths for easy transfer
Place is horrible and service staff is rude. Went for breakfast at 10am ordered our food by 10:10 which waS eggs, French toast and a blt. Took literally 45 min to come to the table and the staff was rude and not apologetic as if it was our fault we haven't gotten our food. Or utensils.. they have no lemon for your water or soda, no honey mustard for your fries .. just horrible. Not sure how they stay in business.
We stumbled upon this hidden jewel while looking for a place to have breakfasts. The place is tiny so don't worry if you have to seat at the bar.Everything my family and i had was great. All the way from the portion to the different flavors. We had the Taylor Ham (pork roll) egg and cheese in a Texas style french toast and another breakfast platter which had all different types of meats plus eggs and a short stack of pancakes (which were good)Instead of regular coffee try their iced coffee. It is cold brewed ?The service was quick and the food came out quickly.Definitely we are coming back to try their waffles and French toast with berries and bananas.
Nice little spot. Good breakfast. Specials are good. Get the French toast. Delicious.

Fast with quality service. Tasty food with nice size portions. Friendly staff. I would recommend this place to my friends.
I love the cozy feeling the decorations of old school gave us a lot to talk about. I love the food here. Mother day special Tres Leches french toast was amazing. God bless the person that came up with it. I was full the whole day! Definitely going back!
Excellent breakfast. A hidden gem. Hoping to try lunch soon. Thank you Margaret and chef. Small, comfortable and cozy.
The place itself is very 50s vibes. The have the bar stools and booths to sit on. They also have outside seating - for the precautions. I got the speacial of the day which was nyc burger which contained the patty , cheese , onions with bbq. The other plate was sausage omelette w cheese and peppers with the side of toast and some fries. Both dishes were so good and definitely a good place to have brunch. The environment itself was very welcoming...the waitress was very nice and attentive.
Cute little diner with a few tables, which gets crowded on weekend mornings. Been here for breakfast a few times and it is standard good-quality diner fare. Tasty pancakes and decent coffee. The atmosphere is nice and homey, but the servers we always see here don't make eye contact so it is uncomfortable to ask for service which would be my only negative takeaway.
