This simple makeup of ribeye, cheese, onions, and fresh bread is what makes the sandwich so alluring to anyone. A great cheesesteak requires an even mixing of the parts. That means the cheese is melted and mixed with each crevice of the beef and onions. The bread encases the entirety. Every single bite should be consistent with the last and the next.
However, in Jersey, one might think the best cheesesteaks only come from the boardwalks.
Voted the Best Cheesesteak in Bergen County according to their website, my partner and I decided to pay a visit to Bob-O’s Cheesesteaks, located on Main Street in Ridgefield Park, for lunch.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff at a simple and clean interior. Lighting is basic and bright with a row of full windows with single seating providing a more spacious feel as well as 4 tables indoors and 5 tables for outdoor dining during pleasant weather.
Their big-size menu is featured on the wall with cheesesteaks, egg rolls, sides, and much more.
We decided on the Bob-O Sandwich, Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, and Onion Rings.
Food was prepared fresh per order. The sandwiches were really delicious and served hot. However, the peppers used on the Bob-O killed it. It looked like roasted peppers from the jar were used and not the fresh peppers sautéed with onion. The onion rings were hot, crispy with no oil or sogginess and didn’t skimp. The portions were huge, and the price was comparable to the area. Service was fast and friendly.
Despite this hiccup, we would give this place another try.

Ordered a cheesesteak, and was given a chicken sandwich and was charged for $14 for a sandwich. Not happy with wrong order. Will not go back.

Good sandwich but front girl needs to go!! Tried to charge $40 for 2 sandwiches!! Don’t know if it’s a skim operation, stupidity or poor training but with the try at a cash grab and basic silence when ordering on the phone will be hard for me to go back.. it was $27 for 2 sandwiches also bit expensive

As a regular worker at wrestling events at the nearby Knights of Columbus I frequent Bob-O’s at least twice a month. The place is always clean, fast and friendly. The owner seems to care greatly about providing fun offerings straight down to Gatorade in a can! (the greatest way to enjoy it)
Food is prepared fresh per order. Everything is neatly packaged with no expense spared. The sandwiches are always consistently delicious. The notorious B-O-B makes a great cheesesteak but the sleeper item are the buffalo chicken egg rolls which are as slamming as what I witness at said wrestling events.
Bob-O’s is always proactively looking to participate in the nearby community. While I’m from 30 minutes away in Staten Island, I certainly can appreciate their civic engagement. I will always be a loyal Bobz customer and supporter.
PS Make sure you get your customer loyalty card which offers a “buy 9 get the 10th one free”.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level, one door, easy access.

I hope they improve the speed of serving customers from food truck, I was on line to take out foods during July 4th event in Overpack park in Leonia, a lady took forever to receive an order, only 1 guy cooks and serve foods, it took 70 minutes to order and get hot dogs
