I've been going to this shopping lot for several years and I've never noticed this shop. It was my first time going there last week. I bought the pumpkin rice cake and another made with rice grain with nuts. Both were delicious and purchased while still warm. I am going back to buy some more.

I stumbled on Yedang’s PHENOMENAL red bean mochi at a cafe in Manhattan. I’m usually skeptical of packaged stuff from overseas (and believe me I’m Chinese) — who knows what preservatives and flavor maskers are in them — but this was pillow-soft, not too sweet and no “additives” aftertaste. $6 isn’t cheap, but with tariffs, get use to it. Looks like they’re made locally - hard to say if it’s just repackaged.

This place has the best 떡 (tteok) outside Korea. I don’t get why it has less than 5 stars! The ladies that work there are always so sweet and, if you buy a few cakes, they always give you a free one. They make real artisanal rice cakes with natural ingredients. I love this place!
